rambling
move mouse over X axis. Click and drag to the right Hi, when I do this I can see criss-cross pattern in that added buffer space on the right. My charts use custom color set with white background and that pattern is showing up in blue. Any way I can get rid of that pattern?
Jerry Medved
No. You would need to use a more subtle "Pre-Market" color if it is showing too bold. that is the one it is using for showing the extended time period hash marks. I checked on all the built in ones and did not see it showing up too bold.

Ah OK, so this is determined based on the pre market % settings, I've set them to 0 (don't need it) and this works fine for me. Thanks. rambling
Btw looks like the Y axis padding doesn't stick, doing the same kind of dragging up/down, the setting is lost when I continue to scroll through the symbols, including coming back to that same symbol I originally set the padding on. Is this an issue or am I missing something?
Jerry Medved
Dynamic padding stays on the chart when you switch symbols within a chart. Absolute or Sliding Window do not. That is intentional since those values are specific to the symbol. Also, settings do not load for the symbol when you switch symbols within a chart. The current chart's settings are kept. That is intentional as well. And that is why going back to the original symbol does not restore the Y axis setting.
rambling
OK so is there a way to add non dynamic padding on the Y axis? Currently the X and Y behaviors aren't consistent, I think one would expect that adding space on the right hand side of the chart by dragging the bottom X axis area would work the same for the Y axis and result in adding permanent space at the top and bottom of the chart no? Jerry Medved
actually, they are very consistent. Dragging on the X axis adds more (or less) space on the X axis. Doing the same on the Y axis enables the Dynamic Padding by default, and adds more or less space on the Y axis. If you want to use Absolute size or sliding window, you can right click on the Y axis and select those options. Dragging on the Y axis will then adjust those settings
rambling
Ah nice, I didn't realize there was a right click option there, yes that is a good way of doing it, very flexible formatting. Thanks.
