    The joker is wild

OK , thanks, am running again via the Backup folder. All appears to be normal. Thanks

    The joker is wild

I need to get the log file to see what the problem is. Please do the following: Go to FILE / HELP => Send Log/Settings to support menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) And add the Post URL in the comment. Do not check any check-boxes. As for settings being lost, you can restore to the last backup (MT makes a backup whenever it starts). To do that, just start MT, go to FILE / IMPORT… Select BACKUP folder, and then select the most recent backup before the problem started.
  5. Got me a bug this morning and a message. tried to paste the said message here, seems to have caused IE to shut the page down. First I lost 1 intraday chart. I shut everything down and now since restarting have zero intraday charts and a couple of time and sales panels. Feed from IB which has been faultless for ever and a day up to now. Forgot to press notify me of any replies - corrected here - thanks

    Fibonnaci Lock Option

If you press Alt key, it prevents the mouse click from selecting an existing drawing, and always draws a new one. Note: Alt also makes it add an arrow to the drawn line, so release it after you started drawing if you don't want the arrow.

    Fibonnaci Lock Option

Would it be possible to put a "lock" option on a drawn fib and I guess for that matter any drawn lines? I've noticed that sometimes when I am trying to draw on top of a fib or another line it gets moved and this would make things a lot easier. Thanks!

    Buy Sell @ Ask/Bid - 0.1

Yes, thats a really nice feature. Thanks.

    High low close bars

We'll do that. I think Mike actually got the core stuff done for it internally, but then went on vacation. I just need to find out what I need to add to the UI to make it work

    High low close bars

It would be a nice feature to have the option to have high low close bars. I assume it would be a simple addition since all that is needed is the open removed from OHLC charts. It helps to reduce noise and focus on the close. Other charting software offer this choice. Small request but would be great. Thank you! Great software and service!!!

    Buy Sell @ Ask/Bid - 0.1

You can Peg the order at ask - 0.01 and then when ready, submit it. Don't have a keyboard shortcut that will do it in one keystroke to actually send it without first pegging it.

    Buy Sell @ Ask/Bid - 0.1

Hello, is there a way to set a keyboard key to place a limit buy order @ Ask - 0,01 for example. There is only to buy Ask, but some brokers give 0 commision if you place orders below Ask price. So this might be a great feature. Thanks for info. Regards, Martin
  14. Hi Jerry, I am seeing some weird stuff going on with the bid and ask. I think we dealt with this a while back...

MT Trader stopped twice this morning

this is not going to be an easy one. Have a few people reporting it. Started recently, but the odd thing is it started with a version of program that has been running fine for a while. We are trying to track it down. It is not some obvious error in the code. Will let you know.
  18. Jerry, any update on this problem? Everything's been fine the rest of the day so far. Thanks, Jim
  19. Just disappeared, no message that I saw. I just sent you the log file. Jim

MT Trader stopped twice this morning

Jim, when you say unexpectedly stopped, you mean just disappeared, no error message? I need to get the log file to see what the problem is. Please do the following: Go to FILE / HELP => Send Log/Settings to support menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) And add the Post URL in the comment. Do not check any check-boxes.
  21. In the first 45 minutes I had MT Trader open this morning, it unexpectedly stopped twice. I had to start it again and now it's working fine. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Jim

    Portfolio Size Limitation

Thank you for confirming that, Jerry.

    Portfolio Size Limitation

TDA - the 1500 limit is on the unique concurrent symbols, so if the two portfolios have some overlap, the number of unique symbols will be less. IB - we do not currently have any message, so it must be from TWS

    Portfolio Size Limitation

Jerry, apologies in advance on this OT question, but I know that you are intimate with TD Ameritrade data feed. I have 2 MT portfolios active running against TD data feed. The sum total of symbols across both feeds exceeds 1,800 symbols. To the best of my knowledge, I have no issues receiving updates across all 1,800 symbols. Is the 1,500 symbol limit that you noted above on a per portfolio basis (i.e., per dedicated stream) or is it across all open portfolios (not sure if you guys use the same socket connection and stream for all). In any event, I don't see a 1,500 limit being invoked across my 2 portfolios. If I switch to an IB data feed, for example, I get alerted that I cannot exceed 100 symbols (not sure if this is an IB message passed along or an MT generated msg). Thanks in advance.

Stop Limit Price Derived from Last Price of Previous Closed Bar

No, actually not venturing, although I like your idea Peg is exactly what I'm looking for! I'm looking to "Peg" Stop Limit price to Last Price at close of a bar, as bar completion timer goes off. Beautiful and thanks once again!

Stop Limit Price Derived from Last Price of Previous Closed Bar

If I understand you correctly, you are venturing You mean have an already placed STOP order automatically updated based on prev bar on a chart? If so, no If on the other hand, you want to have an order that has NOT been placed yet, automatically updated based on current bid/ask/last or offset from those, you can peg the order and MT aill move the price accordingly, including on the chart. On the chart, the P button on bottom center of the trade capsule is for pegging.
