ydfah
How do I link a portfolio to a particular trading account so that it auto-updates adding and deleting my position? QT had this but I can't figure out how to do it in MT. I looked in the Help file and I couldn't find anything.
Jerry Medved
In MT, the positions were somewhat static so we had that linking. In MT, the positions display has real-time updates, so there is no need to link to other portfolios. Just open the Account View window. Click on Positions tab. You can add real-time columns there same as on a regular portfolio.
ydfah
That'll work! What I was mainly looking for is when I make larger volume trades and all the shares don't get sold at the same price, the linked portfolios used to add and delete the positions as well as calculate the average cost. This made it easy to keep track of how good or bad I was doing at the time. Edited February 29, 2016 by ydfah
