zulu_principle Posted January 4, 2017 Report Share Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) Hi Jerry having some issues with backfill data, some showing some not...an example today is on mt...im looking at intraday...on 60 minute chart 50 bars shows me back to 12-22 100 bars shows me back to 12-20 200 bars shows me back to 12-20 all data back to 12-20 i have two data sources ib and questrade and have tried both on back fill. Jerry Medved Posted January 4, 2017 Report Share Posted January 4, 2017 # of bars is irrelevant for Backfill. MT goes by days. IB is max 10 days. Questrade is max 20. I just tried with Questrade and get data back to 12/6. Go to SETTINGS / Data Sources / Configure Account. Select Questrade. Check what you have for the Backfill # of days. Jerry Medved Posted January 4, 2017 Report Share Posted January 4, 2017 if you backfill with a source that is max 10, then switch sources to one that is max 20 and just open chart and it auto backfills, it will not backfill old data because internally, MT still thinks the symbol is already backfilled.
