Invoking Scan Alerts

In the most recent Beta release, it states that you've added Scan Alerts.  What do I need to do in order to invoke these alerts....can't seem to figure it out.

1) you need to make the scan trigger the alert.  If in SIMPLE mode, there is a checkbox on the rule. If in Advanced, Add 

TriggerAlert("AlertName here");

2) Once that is done, you will see a PARAMS button on the Portfolio Scanner tab, just below the scan selection. When you click on that, you will see an option to enable the alert and to set settings for it (notification, etc)
