mmoy
I had problems with charts not updating. I could see the prices change on the portfolio window but I had to hit ^B to get the prices to update. I'm happy to report that the latest version fixed that problem. I hadn't updated in a while so I don't know which version I was coming from.

mmoy
I spoke too soon. I still have this problem but the tickers that it occurs on varies from day to day. This morning it's AAPL. I can see it updating in the quotes but no the chart.
Jerry Medved
is this on Intraday or Historical charts? on quotes, please add Quote Date and QuoteTime columns if they are not already there. Â Check if the symbol having the problem has a future date/time open raw data window on the symbol and see if the topmost row has a future date/time (add the date column if not already there please). Let me know.
mmoy
It's on intraday charts. I added Quote Date and Time and the Quote Date is 11/01/17 which definitely looks like the problem.
Jerry Medved
I assume you have the date format set to month/day/year Which datafeed?
mmoy
Yup, month/day/year. Other dates in the portfolio are normal (today). TD Ameritrade. Â
Jerry Medved
how hard is it to recreate? If you were to clear the data on all symbols, would you always get one with the issue? Â
mmoy
In looking around, it appears that I have a number of symbols with the problem. Some are 11/01/17 and some are 11/03/17. It would take a while to clear all of them and then add them and the charts back in. Probably 90 minutes or so. Can't do that during the trading day. Unless clearing the data on all symbols is an operation that can be done in one go without wiping the charts and portfolio data out.
Jerry Medved
Clearing the data does not delete the symbols from the portfolios. It would just clear the quote data and chart data, but that can be backfilled. Â You can do it per portfolio or globally. Per portfolio - Clear button on top of the portfolio, (MAIN tab) Globally - Clear Intraday data button on the dashboard.
mmoy
Yup, that fixed the problem. thanks. Is this cruft from older versions or will I have to do this regularly?
Jerry Medved
well, that is what I am trying to figure out. now that you cleared it, I want to know if it is something that can be recreated? Â If so, I would like to know how - so I can fix.
mmoy
I'll check it tomorrow morning to see whether the problem comes back. If it doesn't come back, then I guess I could add a bunch of symbols and then check the date column to see whether or not they are correct. mmoy
Everything seems to be fine this morning. I will play with adding symbols next week.
mmoy
The problem is back this morning. One ticker on my screen has 03/20/18 while the rest have 08/28/17. I imagine that there are more in portfolios that aren't displayed.
Jerry Medved
which symbol? and can you send me log/setup
mmoy
BRK/A. But there were others as well. I just fixed them all with clear data. Where do I get the log and setup?
Jerry Medved
Go to FILE / HELP => Send Log/Settings to support menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) And add the Post URL in the comment. Do not check any check-boxes.
mmoy
Interesting: AAPL changed date to 05/11/18 after the clear all data and the chart isn't updating now.
Jerry Medved
got it fixed. Emailed you.
mmoy
Problem came back this morning. Several charts not updating.
Jerry Medved
Which symbols?  Did you do something after which it happened? Like clearing data? what is the exact DATE on the quote? (note - 4 digits - if MT is showing 2 digits, could you go to SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL and change the "Dates" format to MM/dd/yyyy so that 4 digit year will show. Jerry Medved
OK I found the issue. That fix I did - was slightly off. Will fix again and email you.
mmoy
When I went to try to choose the date column, it wouldn't add it. It appears that I can't use the Column Chooser at all - well, I can use it but it doesn't work.
Jerry Medved
you have to drag the column to the portfolio where you want it
