jschwa
How do I get historical and intraday charts compare two or more presentations of data from different stocks or indices like quotetracker. . ie add new symbol for the chart Add symbol At Top Show data for two or more stocks indices Thanks JS
Jerry Medved
Add "Compare To Symbol" Indicator. Specify the symbol you want to compare to. If you used QT, this should be similar. Indices are not supported yet, so just enter symbols, same as in portfolio
jschwa
Doesn't work like QT. only shows horizontal line .last price JS
Jerry Medved
Backfill the chart, or just the other symbol. You can do it by right click on the legend for the new indicator
jschwa
Did backfill. That worked to show the compare chart. Thanks. but I've been using quotetracker for many years and I love it..I really appreciate the job you did on it. So I'm used to it . I use its compare feature a lot and hope that Medved trader will do as well on its compare fatures. Thanks JS
Jerry Medved
Ok, but what exactly are you referring to? QT did not automatically backfill the compare symbol either at the time you added the symbol. MT will backfill the compare symbol if you backfill the chart. only thing we don't do right now is let you add it to chart from the popup where you type in symbol right on the chart. jschwa
I just found the anchor by going to chart all data Tricky Thanks JS
Jerry Medved
JS, the anchor shows up when you move over the anchor line, same as QT. by default the anchor line is on the left edge, though I guess it is a little bit more obvious in QT. will see if anything can be done about that. jschwa
Thanks for that. Another question: How do I add margin debit and/or cash to a portfolio position (I chart intraday position gain/loss)
Jerry Medved
$CASH symbol for margin, put in negative QTY. for cash, put in positive QTY
