Scan Optimization

Is there any way to optimize a scan, so that it only runs at the close of a bar, given the intraday Frequency scan setting?

It looks like scans continuously run and processes data as it comes in (which certainly you want to have the ability to do in some cases), but there are other times when you only want to scan on the completion of a bar.
