0 Jerry Medved
No,but both Yahoo and Google should work for news, as long as you use MT symbol format. for example, ANZ:ASX
0 Bonkers
Does "No" mean you acknowledge ASX Australia isn't a news source or that it will not (ever) be a news source. Regards.
0 Jerry Medved
it is not a source now. Have not looked at it yet.
0 Bonkers
Thanks for the reply. It was a source in QT and would be appreciated by Aussies if it is (eventually) in MT. Regards
0 Jerry Medved
will look. If you want to help, can you give me some OPTION and WARRANT symbols that work on ASX?
0 Jerry Medved
will be in the next update. NOTE: their news is PDF. News details will not display in the embedded news viewer if running on 64 bit windows. Has to do with the 64 bit version embedded browser from Microsoft not being able to display PDF. You can hide the preview pane or right click on the news item and and select to view in separate window, so it will show in a regular browser. 0 Bonkers
Thanks Jerry. QT seemed to load the PDF into the reading pane using the systems defined default PDF reader, in my case FoxIt. Is this not possible in MT? Regards.
0 Jerry Medved
it is out of our control. that browser is just an embedded IE browser. it will use whatever method it needs to open the object. If the app is running as 32 bit, the 32 bit version of the browser is used and that is able to open PDF. If the app is running as 64 bit, the 64 bit version of IE is used and by default that can't open PDF. If you have some plugin installed that works with 64 bit version of IE to open PDFs, it may get used. Try.

0 Bonkers
will look. If you want to help, can you give me some OPTION and WARRANT symbols that work on ASX? Sorry, missed this post. Do you still want some OPTION and WARRANT symbols for ASX?
0 Jerry Medved
from what I could tell, they no longer give quotes on options and warrants in the same place as stocks, so don't think it is needed. Specifically: http://www.asx.com.au/asx/markets/equityPrices.do If I'm wrong, then yes, give me the symbols that work there.
