  1. It does seem like i can click on the >>. Not the best experience but seems workable. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. Thanks One thing that might be great would be a way to just flipo forward or backward through portfolios (maybe that are flagged with favorites) that way i can see a list and by clicking one place just flip to the next list and so on; would save real estate. thanks!
  2. THANKS. if i'm understanding what you are saying that is what does not seem to be working. i have it on the QAT and i can see some or all of the dropdown box but unless the box is wide and the arrow is showing it does not let me select it. For instance, in the attached I can't click on the "AI Stocks" portion to activate the dropdown evne though the name is there. Not sure if that is what you meant
  3. I typically have one or two portfolio windows open on my screen. when i'm working on my desktop they are wide enough that i see the dropdown so i can switch between portfolios. when i'm travelling and on my laptop (like this week) and the window is narrower; i can see the name of the portfolio but i can't click on it; i have to wait until I can make the box wider. my goal is to be able to fliip different portfolios into that window and i'm looking to see if there is existing technology or instruction for doing that. so 1. am i maybe doing something wrong? as i said, i can see the name of the list but unless it's wide enough the drop down won't function? 2. any way for you to update the behavior to work on smaller dropdown window (less wide)? 3. Any other way to just have the portfolios available w/ one click w/o having to open the ibbon area? 4. maybe just make the dropdown box dynamic in width? I can keep my names short which would make it less wide? Thanks for any ideas
  4. yes; that's what I do; it's not that hard just looking to see if there was a way to eliminate that step. thanks
  5. thanks. not really an option unfortunately as i jump back and forth between watching them. i'll just keep doing what i was doing - which is manually updating the 2 other charts each time. would be nice to consider a flag to allow you to flag which charts should change and which should not.
  6. I run two Medved screens right now. On my primary screen I have my watchlists and a daily, 5 minute and 60 minute chart for equities. On the 2nd screen I have about 30 charts that are the primary ones i'm watching. I start the day on a 1 minute basis for them, then switch to 3 minutes an hour or so in, then 5 minutes a bit later. I've found the tool under templates that allows me to switch one chart from 1 min to 3 min under "Sync Open Charts" and Sync Frequency which is great. I also turn VWAP on and off so being able to sync indicators is great. But, i really don't want them to impact the 5 minute and 60 minute charts I have in my primary window. Is there a way to do that; i.e. have 30 intraday charts change but not another two? My main 3 charts (daily, 5 min, 60 min) + all my watchlists are under one linked group; my other 30 are not. I was wondering if there was some way now or if you'd consider adding a way to sync but only those that are in the same Symbol Link Group as an option? Thanks
  7. Thanks. FYI for anyone else interested. It was very quick to set up a new account and transfer some $$ to it. Today I moved my connections to the new account (I'm more interested in the data) and it seemed to work fine.
  8. Hi @Jerry Medved My account was targeted for Nov 3 transition. I did what was suggested above; I created a new account and transferred most $$ over to it and it's there and up and running. I was able to set up the new account in Medved. Does that mean the API for that account will be functional? I don't need to reach out to TD to ask them to enable the API for that account or anything similar? Thanks
  9. Maybe I'm doing something dumb... but if I remove the 10x and just leave SetScanResult(FirstMinVol) it doesn't seem to be doing what I hoped. For instance, RIVN first minute volume bar today per my data was 643,000 shares. Scan is showing 226 if I set to "intraday" and 10,367,950 if I set to "Historical" Similarly MSFT I see the first bar in the software at 699K shares. Setting to "Historical" scan is showing 5,496,130 shares. Thoughts? ********** I had premarket volume on ********** so took off and results are correct ******* thanks.
  10. Hi guys - I want to create a scan that shows me the first minute volume of the day multiplied by a factor. For instance, if there is 100K in volume on the first minute bar I'd like to take that 100K and multiply by 10 and show in a column on the scan. Can you suggest how i get the volume from the first minute bar of the day? Thanks
  11. that is good too but doesn't solve the same issue I'm looking to solve. i may have, say, 100 items on a watch list and put alerts on and the next day remove 20 of the symbols from the watchlist and add 20 different ones. so after a few weeks i may have 100 or more alerts that i don't care about any longer. i could just go through the alert editor list and delete those that are no longer on the watchlist and 75% of the time i remember IF the ticker/symbol still is on the watchlist but other times I don't remember so i have to call that chart up to see if it's still a relevant alert. Another way that would help me would be something like your orphan alerts. Allow a way to filter based on when an alert was created; for instance, filter to show all alerts created (or updated) before a given date. Then I could focus on just those older alerts; but even there flipping down the list of older alerts and being able to see a chart to know whether i should still keep the alert would be helpful. Hope this helps.
  12. Hi guys - I tend to set a number of alerts on stocks (breakout levels, pullback levels, stop levels) and over time as I focus on different stocks they tend to pile up. If I have the alert editor open I'd love to be able to go down the list and when I click on an alert have it change the open charts (or those attached to the active window or a color) to that symbol so I can see if I want/need the alert any longer. Bonus if it could somehow highlight which alert I'm on if there are more than one. AM I able to do that in some way now? If not, is that something you'd consider adding to help manage a longer list of alerts?
  13. Cool; thanks. It's a nice feature.
  14. I built a small program outside of Medved to help with my off hours prep that uses the API and setLinkedSymbol to change charts in Medved. Right now it is calling my active color ("Tan"). Was the API updated to allow me to change charts with Active Window instead of a color?
  15. As a swing trader I have found it really useful to focus my entries very early in the day on stocks with really unusually high volume in the first few minutes of trading. Is it possible for me to create a paintbar or put something so i can run it in a scan so that i can compare the first minute or 3 minutes of volume against the same time for the last 10 or 20 trading days? If so, could you provide me a little bit of sample code or ideas on how to approach this? Can do some coding but not that strong. Thanks
  16. Thanks. That would be great.
  17. I'm trying to move away from glancing at my Interactive Brokers screen during the day and instead using the Account View. It's great but is there a column for % of portfolio for a given symbol I like to monitor and sometimes buy/sell to manage the % of portfolio a position has (5%, 10%). But in looking at the column chooser - I may be missing it - but is there a column for this? Thanks
  18. I trade earnings gaps quite a bit and usually have a line of text about estimate revisions, growth rate, etc. I keep them in an external file but also like to put them into the notes field so i don't have to open the other doc to reference a symbol. I don't think it's possible now to paste in a symbol and it's notes into a portfolio, is it? If not, is that something you can consider some sort of add symbol w/ notes or something like that ?
  19. Thanks. When I was looking to see what it was I saw something called Market Facilitation INdex.
  20. Curious in the new beta update what the "market indicator" is. Also, while i'm asking...is there anywhere that explains what the new beta features are in more detail where I can look?
  21. Alternatively, @Mike Medved is there any way to tell your system not to send back an "OK"? In that case I could just make the click a hyperlink from googlesheets.
  22. My typical watchlist has a few sections broken down by Seperators. It would be nice if you could color the Separator differently from the other lines to help clarify where things are separated.
  23. i also tried using "Put" and "Post" instead of 'get" thinking maybe that was the issue (I'm not that technical so I'm just trying different things) but they gave me the same error.
