  1. Thanks Jerry for the additions and updates, it just keeps getting better and better
  2. Hi Jerry Thank you for implementing this feature but just wanted to give you a heads up that not all values are highlighting on the Y axis when my mouse touches them. For example I notice its not working on my daily chart (using $SNAP as an my stock) when i touch the 9MA. On the 20MA it looks like its being highlighted , BUT I have a trendline drawn and it wont highlight over the trendline bubble value on the Y axis.
  3. Oh right the box moves, thats awesome. Thanks for fixing that! :))
  4. Hey Jerry I just downloaded the latest and greatest update but it looks like the issue is still there (see pic) and the box and the date are blocking those candles.
  5. That would be an awesome feature, kind of like what TC2000 does where you can flag the best stocks in your watchlist and then click sort by flag and have the flagged tickers on top.
  6. I personally use lots of MA's , vwap and trendlines on my charts and have it set so that there values show up on the Y axis which is very useful for me. The problem is that sometimes they can over lap each other and I am not able to read some of them bc they are covered by others (see picture) Can you make it so that if I move my mouse over the chart and highlight a MA, VWAP, trendline, etc that that value while also highlight on the Y axis so I can read it?
  7. Thanks Jerry The Y axis was never an issue by the way, it never blocked any candle so I wouldnt change that. It was the pop up value box on the X axis when I move my cursor and also the date that shows up on the chart in the beginning of the day that will block my view of candlesticks.
  8. Mike If they close lower then the PRIOR candle they are red, like you cite, but thats not what I am saying. THe pic I provded shows a candle that may have gapped higher then the previous candle and it may have closed higher then the previous but if all it did was drop lower the enture candle, it would be solid showing the candle 'sold off' Many traders, like myself, use this to see a visual representation of how strong or how weak is the buying power/selling power was in that particular candle, thus possibly giving hints as to possible momentum.
  9. But I dont want to turn off the x/y values, the x values tell me the exact time that I have my cursor over and my y value tell me what price it is at my cursor, both CRUCIAL to trading Jerry, you know that. WHy dont you take a poll? I am almost certain I cannot be the only day trader on here that trades gapo down at the open and cant read a candlestick. This is not wasted space, you have candlesticks that are unreadable at the open on a gap down making it nearly impossible to draw trendlines or study the price action in that candle. Why cant you at least make it an option so that I choose the amount of space I want on the bottom and choose it as my own default option?
  10. Would love the option to have the body of a candle that closes higher then it opened being hollow and the body of a candle that closes lower then when it opened being solid. TD ameritrade offers this and I can't tell you how useful it is for momentum traders as you can get a better feel of the 'real' direction in a green candle or red candle . Every trader friend I know uses this and is a huge part of their success. I have included a picture.
  11. When a stock gaps down, towards the bottom of the chart, the date blocks part of the chart making it hard to see (or draw trendlines on) , this also happens when I am using the cursor and the date pops up over the candlesticks as well. I've included a picture so you can see exactkly what I mean. The only way I know to fix this is by right clicking my mouse on the right side of the chart to increase the blank space on the top and bottom of the chart window , but then when I click on a different symbol or go back to this symbol, it all resets and it gets blocked again. A simple fix would be to make the default space at the bottom so that the dates DO NOT BLOCK the candles, as an intraday trader trading off of 1 or 5 minutes candles, this is getting to be a deal breaker for me. IS anyone else having this issue?
  12. That made all the difference, thanks
  13. Hi Jerry Can you fix the trade tickets color scheme so that it is easier to read the bid/ask etc on the top row? The light gray backround with white text makes it impossible for me to read.
  14. I use Interactive Brokers and I have been noticing that on the Account View/Positions tab, that a # of times the shares amount that I actually own versus what is showing on this tab are incorrect. THe # is usually higher in Medved then in my action IB account.
  15. I started using the alert feature today. I had an alert go off in HOG when the price was hit in premarket. Being the volume being so low in most tickers and spreads being so wacky anyway, I would like to only have my alerts go off if the price is it in the regular session. Is this possible?
  16. Jerry Could you tell me if there is a way to have a trendline that I draw on 1 chart to sync to another chart? example: I draw a trendline on IBM on the daily chart, I want it to show up on the intraday chart as well. I couldnt find a way to do this and really need it, thanks
  17. Hey Jerry COuld you tell me what improvements are being planned for the trade ticket or the trading? I prefer to trade directly through MT since it cuts down errors of typing in the wrong symbol on my IB platform, especially when day trading. I have been trading through MT but it is very simple and is missing some basic features. For example when I buy or sell at the ask using the (using the trading ribbon which is how I have been trading using MT) how do I put in a stop order? What I do now is right after I open a position I immediately have to open my IB platform to put in the stop order. As far as the trade ticket, I really wish there was a simple buy ask and sell bid button alongside the buy and sell button. Can you add that?
  18. That is too bad, bc on TOS it does run smoothly. If my corss hairs are on the daily chart and I hover over, lets say the mid point of the daily candle, then it will also be on the intraday 5 min at the same price point. if I nudge higher on the daily, it follows that price on the intraday. Its a really nice feature
  19. So I linked the crosshairs like you showed above. So what happens now is when I move the cross hairs on my daily up and down to different prices, the cross hair on the intraday is static, it is not moving it juist kind of shows up and stays at the same price. Id like it to move smoothly on both
  20. Hey Jerry Its not happening, Imy daily and 5 min intraday are linked, yet when I have the crosshairs over fridays daily candle, I am only seeing the cross hairs on the daily chart, not on the intraday chart as well. Am I missing something or am I asking it the wrong way?
  21. I have a daily chart and a 5 minute chart running at the same time, is it possible to have the cross hairs syc accross both charts? IE. when I am moving the cross hairs in the daily chart and it is hovering over $100, the cross haairs will also be moving on the 5 minute chart over $100?
  22. I trade lots of red to green plays and seeing a line that shows me the previous close would be ideal. It is a pretty popular indicator, any chance to add that?
  23. Thanks Jerry, I meant the trade ticket. I dont see the ability to customize hotkeys other than buy at ask, buy market, things like that. Id like to be able to specify the amnount od shares I want to buy or sell: ie a hot key that buys 50 shares at the ask, another that buys 100 shares at the ask, etc. I've attached the market depth trader box I usually use with IB, I've customized it by share size and trade type. It makes it super easy for me to get in and out of stocks when Im day trading and would love to see this feature in MT. I think others would as well. I think features like this would make MT stand out even more. Thanks for listening
