Hi Jerry, I've mentioned this partially in other threads, and the functionality has certainly improved from earlier releases. Native Trailing Stop logic works perfectly on the DOM. I've noticed the following 2 behaviors: 1) Using DOM with StopLimit OTOCA Order, with a T-Stop$ trailing Leg (for either a Buy or Sell order). Once trade is filled, if I subsequently try to manually adjust my T-Stop$ price to a new level (in a positive direction for my trade to tighten my stop) on the DOM, at times (but not always) the T-Stop$ price jumps to a different price (usually a tick or 2 away) from my desired reposition of price; 2) If I attempt to adjust my T-Stop$ price multiple times during the same active trade, eventually T-Stop$ gets into a funky state where it moves BOTH up AND down, in concert with market price moves. Can't really add any value by adding a screen capture for you; just described verbally above the best I can. Using latest Beta, trading MES futures with IB broker. Thanks in advance.

I trade futures (IB) prob 70% of the time via MT, and maybe 10% long-term stock plays (TDA) also via MT. But when I trade momentum stocks and options I just wind up using TOS as my platform, to use their integrated scanning facilities. I too, would love what others above suggest, although I understand the universe of symbols issue. The MT scanner is great and quite extensible, but its limitation is the # of symbols that can be processed (for me, 1,500 via TDA).

Jerry, see above. I tried it w/o the currency specified, and I got the original error msg above. Maybe it’s required in this case, since it can be denominated in a CCY other than USD.

OK, got it resolved, looking at your symbol HELP. Need to include the currency in the symbol definition. In my case: @BRRK21.USD:*0.1 Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Right, there's a multiplier, which I set on TWS, and not MT. I want the mini (hence 0.1). However, that nomenclature still gives me that Currency error msg above. I tried "@BRRK21:*0.1" and "@BRRK21:*.1" and still get same error. Thanks.

Hi guys, CME just started a mini-BTC (BRR) contract yesterday. For IB, the May contract symbol on MT is @BRRK21. When I enter a Short Limit trade via TWS on this contract, all is well. However, on the DOM, when I try to enter a Short Limit for 1 contract, I get the IB error message on MT of: "ERROR: IB SERVER RESPONSE: The contract description specified for BRR is ambiguous; you must specify the currency Short 1 @BRRK21 at Limit of 54,540 Day_Ext" Any idea why I'm getting this "currency" error, and how to rectify? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking of the option symbols changing with the underlying in this regard, more just the topline symbol in ORA, which would effectively clear out any underlying option symbols that were currently being displayed.

Thanks Jerry, but doesn't ORA provide an analysis for one (or many) option trade(s) on just ONE underlying stock at a time?

Additional question please: Why does the Option RIsk Analysis window not have a Symbol Link Group option? I would like to to see the Root Symbol associated with my Option Chain window be reflected in the Option Risk Analysis window automatically. As it stands, I have to re-type the symbol in the Option Risk Analysis window.

Hey guys, Starting to play with Options in MT a bit. I like what I see so far. A couple of Questions please: Question 1: If I select (highlight) a particular option contract in the Option Chain screen, I don't see a mechanism to automatically send that option contract to the Option Risk Analysis screen, short of entering it anew via the Add Option button. There is no Symbol Link Group functionality in the Option Risk Analysis screen, or any sort of Right-mouse function on the Option Chain screen to accommodate a quick transfer. Am I missing something or is there a rationale for having to enter anew via the Add Option button? Question 2: Unrelated to Q1, any thoughts on displaying a preview screen (a la ToS) before executing an options trade, that shows the trade's Max Profit, Max Loss, Break-Even Price, Buying Power Effect, etc., prior to hitting the Buy/Sell button? This is a nice addition to the latest beta. Volume is my primary indicator when I day trade. One request on this when you have time -- similar to the Volume Indicator, can you add a "Show MA" checkbox option for this? Thanks in advance.

OK, I figured out what was going on, and all works fine now. This is what happened: On my main PC, I have accounts set up with IB and TDA. On my destination MT, I did not have my TDA account setup. So when I imported into my MT without TDA set up, problems # 1 and # 2 above occurred. After adding my TDA account to my destination PC, and then importing, all worked fine with "Overwrite" import. I'm guessing that account information is not exported out by design. All good, sorry for the bother. Please ignore the 2 log files (one from each machine) that I sent over to you. Have a good weekend.

Jerry, I exported all, and did import as "Merged". So, I tried to re-import than same Export, this time with "Overwrite", and same results; missing 2 things stated above. Next, I created another Export of all (including log files), and imported this export as "Overwrite", and same problem. It's the weekend, so don't stress over this now, but if you think of anything else, let me know next week. Thanks.

I like to keep my main PC and laptop in synch with my MT environment. Today, I noticed that after Exporting ALL (including data) on my main PC, and then importing into my MT laptop environment, the following doesn't seem to be carried over in the export (or maybe the import is the offending piece of code): 1) Any changes to Portfolio lists were not reflected in the import; 2) I noticed that the source selections associated with my windows were not carried over in the import; Everything else was fine. Any clues on this please?

Ok, thanks Jerry. I figured out what caused the issue. I originally had a regular trade ticket, and I re-sized it manually to fit in a portion of my overall screen, since I want it visible at all times. Next, I set the Compact option in settings, and the Buy/Sell buttons didn't appear in my Trade Ticket window (because it was created as a Regular ticket). When I clicked on new ticket, from the Main menu, this new ticket truly appeared in Compact mode (and I'm now using this window to fit in a portion of my overall screen. Thanks for the explanation, and sorry for the bother.

When Action drop-down disabled, the "Buy/Sell" Buttons don't scale on window properly, when Trade Ticket Window is shrunk. Similarly, when Action drop-down is enabled, the "Send Trade" Buttons don't scale on window properly, when Trade Ticket Window is shrunk.

I was easily able to convert my .m4a files (which no longer work in this new MT version) to .mp3, via free online tools. All good, my sounds are back in business.

I just upgraded to bug fix version 1.1.9230.2 x64. User-defined sounds, which exist in a user-defined folder, no long play when alert-triggered from within PaintBars. Nothing has been changed by me code-wise to warrant this However, default system tones, e.g. "Tone", continue to play properly, when triggered.Here are some sample settings: Here is a sample setting of a user-defined sound alert that no longer plays properly: Sorry for all the attachments.............can't remove them; only look at this first one please.

OK, I think I created this new issue using Sim Trading as follows: StopLimit OTOCA Buy Order with Limit Price and T-Stop$ price executed. The T-Stop$ price shows up in the Transactions tab of the Account View Window for that Transaction, so IB has sent it back to MT OK. Next, if I attempt to move the T-Stop$ price lower (not higher), I get a scenario where T-Stop$ subsequently moves up/down along with the market price movement. Note that if I had moved T-Stop$ higher (not lower), this new issue does not occur. I'm assuming that behavior is the same on the Sell Side as well.
