Wow that was super simple. Created an account in TDAmeritrade and I didn't even have to fund the account I just went and signed the docs for the data and bam was up and running in less than 10 minutes. That's the answer right there!

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in support but I can no longer use the data feed from TDAmeritrade inside medved trader since they made the switch over to Schwab... From my understanding the API is also broken and nothing seems to be working from their end? Not sure if this has been discussed or if there is an open communication between TDAmeritrade (or i guess it may need to be with Schwab now?) to fix that but there is no mention of the inability to use TDAmeritrade in the data section of the program and it does not function any longer...

Just a general question about switching to advanced on the scanner. I've heard it runs c# code? Is that correct? Is it a combo proprietary/C# and if so is there a library of functions/tutorial somewhere to browse or a 'how-to' or a glossary of variables and what they are used for from the medved program? ... asking for a friend 😜

no penny stocks mostly large and mega caps. The turn off odd lots instantly fixed the few i was looking at. Thank you!!!

Is anyone else having trouble getting the spike filter to filter out erroneous data? I've tried numerous times to get it to ignore spikes at end of day and end up having to pull up each ticker in my watch list and ctrl-shift H and L to erase them and even then sometimes I need to clear the data and reload. Setting are: min sec =5 max all = .1 max time = 5 max duration time= 15 max duration Trades = 5 max % below = 1 max % above =1 I've tried all kinds of combinations and still get dozens of false lines every day. Please help!!!

That's what I thought as well but I can't use the intraday raindrop charts unless i can get it to show more than 2-3 days of data. Is there a setting i'm missing that only shows it for the past few days as opposed to the entire intraday chart? seems to be universal i'm getting about a weeks worth of data on the intraday.

I see that, very nice. I've looked high and low for a setting get these on the historical charts? I can't seem to find a way for it to show up on the daily/weekly/monthly? This is important for ranking support/resistance as well ass supply and demand. Right now I have to rely on the daily volume candle which is somewhat helpful unless the range for the day was very large then it's tough to drill down and find the true range unless I pull up the intraday which works as long as it's within the dates allowed to show for intraday. For older supply and demand zones i have no way of pulling that data unless it's on the historical chart. Also, I've noticed that it only shows the volume profile for the last few days... I'm sure it's something I'm doing on my end but I can't get it to go any further back than a few days for the intraday charts. Thanks for all you do for us!

Would it be possible to get raindrop candles included as candlestick type? https://trendspider.com/blog/raindrops-vs-japanese-candlesticks-more-insights-with-zero-noise/ A lot of charting software are starting to add this option and it's quite helpful in determining moves that happen without scouring daily volume vs price for each daily candlestick or intraday wicks.

OR what about adding a checkbox to alert when price enters the channel... maybe add check box for price alert if price enters channel from above, below, either? That would be dependent of the channel being a 0 degree line though i suppose... Although I have (accidentally) made diagonal line price alerts before that have triggered... have not really drilled down into the accuracy of those however.

Would it be possible to get the top and bottom of parallel channels to show price either on the price chart or the ability to set the channel using price like to the way alerts are set? I realize channels are not always parallel ranges but when they are sure would be nice to dial them to exact supply and demand levels.

Is there a way to show the price of the channel? maybe on the price line on the right of the chart like a moving average? would only be necessary if it was extended if that helps? maybe even have a price box inside the right click menu to set the upper range at least? Just wishful thinking!

Any more headway on this? Alerts work in one direction at least now but like my screenshots showed their are still problems with the lines working and moving for some strange reason.

Yeah no that will not help as setting a default will simply let me anchor to 1 date which is basically 1 ticker unless there was market wide massive volume on each and every ticker. Yeah dragging is not the answer either. Multiple defaults? no that would just be crazy an... well if there were 10 or so defaults it would at least allow me to anchor the most frequently traded tickers... dunno how viable this would be to add default 1, default 2, etc...

I also use Anchored VWAP a lot in my trading but there is no way to do that right now without changing the date that it's anchored from on each and every chart I open. Would be nice to have a per ticker anchored VWAP or maybe a way to drag from a certain candle to set the anchor so at least I don't have to edit the indicators each time i open a chart and manually set the date to anchor from.

I use demand and supply zones in my trading but when drawing the boxes there is no way to extend them (to the right indefinitely) so I don't have to continually extend them all manually each day/week/month etc.

Also when you right click on a price alert and choose 'delete price alert but leave line' it simply deletes the alert and does not leave a line (doesn't matter if it was a line first or a price alert first. These may be connected....

When you place a price alert on a daily chart it will show correctly in another historical chart when you bring it up from say... a watchlist. But ONLY if you place it using your mouse. If you right click on the price alert and set it using the actual PRICE box it then will ONLY show on that historical chart. If you open another historical chart form the watchlist it will not be there. This has started happening recently (2 ? update ago ... 2 weeks max).

I am trying to use the linking feature with Trade-Ideas scanning software and am not having much luck. They have been unable to get it to work (through tech support) and I have tried a bunch of combinations to make it work with no success. This is my last attemt to try and get it to work. Basically they are telling me it is a 'focus' issue with med-ved trader, according to their support team med-ved is losing focus and doing something else when I go to click on a ticker in Trade-Ideas and not accepting the input. Is their a focus based issue or settings that I can try inside medved to allow it to accept input from another program? I have tried all the obvious ones like keep window on top and bring to front but nothing seems to work. Any thoughts?
