  1. Apparently. There are no files in the MT backup folder even though I see it saying it is backing up every time I close it. UPDATE: Thought I should check the import/restore one more time and I found a backup from yesterday that had everything. So, I'm back in business. Thanks, Jerry.
  2. UPDATE: I switched MS Defender to BitDefender and it seems to play fine with MT and is not reporting any viruses. But I am having to rebuild my charts and quote list as something happened to my Layouts and my backup is too old.
  3. Which anti-virus do you suggest other than MS Defender? I find that most AV software slows my computer significantly.
  4. Jerry, I am using Windows Defender and Windows 11 Home but it is reporting a virus when I start Medved Trader. And MT goes to the setup window when I start it. After that MT won't load my Layouts. It just says it was unable to load them. The first virus that was Sabsik TE.A!ml couldn't be removed without a reboot cleaning. Then when I started MT I got the virus Wacatac.B!ml plus the first one. I'm afraid to make an exemption for MT if these viruses keep popping up. They seem to be in dll files in an userAPP/temp/........dll file in my user folder.
  5. Thanks, Mike. Both of those solutions worked for me. Wally
  6. Hi Mike, I'm having an issue with my indicators in chart sub windows. I have 3 indicators in one window below a chart. However, there are indicator range numbers that bleed onto the chart area where the indicators are being plotted obscuring them near the top and bottom. I don't seem to be able to find a way in the main settings, individual indicator settings or the label area settings to move these numbers off of the chart area or turn off the indicator range values from appearing so they aren't in the way of the indicator plot. You can see this in the bottom part of the screen snip attached. Another problem I am having is that in addition to the chart values box that opens when I mouse over a chart there is an additional smaller box that opens over the chart in line with my cursor at the top or bottom showing the date and time of the bar I have moused over. This information is already in the larger data box that I have positioned to the left side of the chart out of the way. Is there a way to prevent this additional smaller box from opening over the chart when I mouse over the chart? Thanks. Wally
  7. Hi Mike, I'm trying to figure out which "Tick Data" setting works best with the On Balance Volume Indicator. When I check the "Tick Data" box it seems to often completely change the look and trend of the OBV indicator. I'm wondering for what time frame of chart that this actually takes the volume and direction of each tick and how accurate that data is from Yahoo. Also, when the "Tick Data" box is unchecked does it use the volume of each bar of the time frame of the chart in question or does it look at something like 1 minute intervals regardless of the chart's bar duration? Also, does the "Tick Data" work on daily charts? And, if anyone has any preference or thoughts on this, I would appreciate their comments.
  8. OK, I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. Thanks Mike
  9. I was wondering if it would be possible to add a feature to some indicators that would invert them. For instance. the Williams Vix Fix normally goes down when the market goes up. It would be easier to compare to other indicators I use if it would not act the inverse of those other indicators. By allowing users to invert the indicator would make it much easer to read. Thanks.
