  1. All good ideas so far, esp autohotkeys big fave does lots non-trade things too. For MT is there already a Cancel & Reverse hotkey? I haven't memed the MT hotkeys, just liking to click from menus since gives a microsec or two to slow down impulse trading. But a C&R key might be one I'd commit for truly panic moment (s). Big help when something is really dumping solidly & with neg news. Cancels open position & immediately goes other way. Think about stops & such after a 15 min watch & wait before set stops, just get me out & let me gain some of loss the other way. Good you are focusing on trade keys first. Much of other functions (like closing all open windows) can be found in Windows/goog them or autohotkeys. I'll just commit MT keys as too many already in ahk. You've picked some good ones already like ability to switch trade accounts. Annoying at first to open trade panel only to have to adjust default acct if have a few brokers. Keys something like Alt+OT (open trade)+1..... , 2, 3 for up to 3 accts as example. or for finger ease Ctrl+T+1....... Thanks Mike
  2. Thanks. Forgot about that "Market Opens in" settings from the pull down menu that appears clicking there. Thing is when I go to SETTING / CHARTS / TIMEFRAMES I see a read only there and no way to do a global change for all portfolios at once. Seem to have to go to each Portfolio & select US Equity Ext Hours from that lower bar place. I tried to make the green check mark under User Defined Timeframe to be checked for 2nd on list (US Equity Markets Ext. Hours). Refuses to change, I guess due to Set as Default on right being READ-ONLY. How to avoid READ-ONLY? Is that a lock set elsewhere as a system default? Thanks.
  3. Thanks guys. Was having same issue today so pulled down latest beta. Have MT set to load any new beta but who knows. Seems to now push old data off screen on left side as it should when set to Never in View for Ext Hrs. Or other settings which I tried as to 1 day, 2 day w/ Ext Hrs. Nothing was stopping that overlap on right. I'd look over to see if 3 min candle had changed dramatically until lost interest. Come back in 15 mins or more only to see bang move up/down. Annoying, esp if an Alert hadn't been hit yet to call attention to chart. Before Yahoo and/or TDA seem to overlap the incoming candles (like in OP's line). I set Never under View for Ext Hrs. So far fresh data view (incoming candles) haven't "gone under" right side as new candles come in. I understand about the scroll bar below being red when not flush right. Thing is how to reduce the amount of space off on right. There's 3 grades of grey here, so I'd like middle grey (ext hrs) to be flush right. But when I adjust with either control/shift that 3rd grey on right side pops back too much to left (leaving fairly wide unused space.) Again, I can narrow that space but is there a setting to turn off the unused space just to left of price? Or keep it tiny? I used large amount of space in example image to the amount of unused space. Gets almost dangerous Aft Hrs on stocks TDA allows to trade beyond Ext Hrs like IWM DIA XLK QQQ & bunch others. They call that EXTO allowed. Sending this to Jerry M too.
