I find that a number of them did not fire today. I had a scan actively running on that watchlist. Would that interfere? mlsignups Posted December 2, 2022 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2022 Let me add to the above to avoid my own confusion. It DID trigger YESTERDAY at 9:30. But clear after is set to "NONE" so it should have retriggered today as best as I know. Given that it did not trigger I'm thinking maybe it was the scan because another stock on the same list also did not trigger this morning. Please let me know or suggest what you'd need to diagnose. Jerry Medved Posted December 2, 2022 Report Share Posted December 2, 2022 if the alert is triggered, it will not trigger again for the symbol until it is cleared. (or MT restarted). Not quite clear about your stuff - you mentioned alerts on trendlines but also scans. Is scan triggering alerts? which alerts did not trigger? was MT restarted today? mlsignups Posted December 2, 2022 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2022 The scan is informational only; tell me when stocks are near moving averages, etc. but they don't produce alerts. Jerry Medved Posted December 2, 2022 Report Share Posted December 2, 2022 since your setting for the alert is not set to clear automatically, it will not trigger again for the same symbol, even next day, if you do not restart. mlsignups Posted December 2, 2022 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2022 i think i misunderstood "clear alert"; i assume it removed the trendline alert. but it seems like clearing the alert just resets it.
