kylevb Posted January 12, 2023 Report Share Posted January 12, 2023 When placing orders or cancelling orders there is sometimes a few second delay. I have used MT with questrade and paper trading through IB and both had the delays occasionally. At first I thought the orders were being delayed for risk review at the broker but I then noticed that they aren't even showing up in the open trades list during this time. Then a few seconds later they suddenly execute. I would estimate this is happening about 5 times a day when I would place 50-100 trades Quick execution is critical for me. Next time it happens, if you have a chance, send a log right away and note exactly what happened and what exact order (preferably it was the last order you sent) Go to FILE / HELP => Send Log/Settings to support menu (from Dashboard or Portfolio) And add this Post’s URL in the comment along with the description above Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
