  1. Had 4 error messages recently, tried to send details, unable to paste here. Downloaded your last update belatedly. Now have 1 error message. Unable to close MT without pulling the plug although data seems to be updating. Back to my last problems under the heading the Joker is Wild. The actual error message can't be shown here as it is locked up??

  2. As for being hosed, lol. I'll try your last suggestion if the problem appears again. Confused as to why the glitch affects MT and not anything else. I have a load of stuff running from IB and they never seem to be affected - plus various junk like email and etc, etc.

Thanks for your quick response.         -------------------------    Mike

  3. Got me a bug this morning and a message. tried to paste the said message here, seems to have caused IE to shut the page down. First I lost 1 intraday chart. I shut everything down and now since restarting have zero intraday charts and a couple of time and sales panels. Feed from IB which has been faultless for ever and a day up to now.

Forgot to press notify me of any replies - corrected here - thanks

  4. Hi Jerry,

Just to let you know things are working normally again today except backfill still flat lines yesterdays data at 9.93. This is no problem as am only interested in very short timespans. First time I've had this sort of problem with IB they are normally so reliable. Many thanks for all your input concerning the matter - Have a good day.

  5. Interesting one

Have UVXY from AMTD working normally on one laptop, On the other machine with a feed from IB the chart is stuck at 9.39 with time and sales showing correct as per AMTD except 'last' is showing 9.39 equal to the chart. Has been at the same level all morning. Backfill or a restart have no effect. Not important as have the feed from AMTD but thought I'd mention it.

eg: last 9.39, bid 9.14, ask 9.15 on IB

9.39 should read 9.93 in the above which I originally posted on the iHub board, Ha! just another senior moment

  6. Oh be joyfull, Have relogged in to IB, restarted MT and all is working again. There was a problem with IB's update this morning, AVG doesn't like these updates and gives a virus warning blocker. This time I got fedup with the wait and relogged in again to IB. I'm sure that sounds garbage but is what the problem was. So much for these antivirus gizmos. Thanks so much for your prompt attention, this old fart is appreciative. Have a good day

  7. No need to be sorry, my own fault, trying to get ready with an extra monitor for the demise of QT. The so called computer expert after loosing loads of stuff said it can't be done on a Samsung series 9, insufficient memory - Still can't believe that story have gobs of spare. 2 screens ain't enough, the quest for just one more goes on.

Many thanks for your attention - appreciated

  8. Thanks for the reply,

All I can find is a backup of yesterdays data when I reloaded the programme, assume when the programme was lost during the reboot process the backup records were lost also? Your dealing with a quill pen guy here

  9. which managed to loose MT and a bunch of other stuff. Is there any simple way I can get a backup from a few days ago. Have reloaded the programme and dread having to rehash my chart data from last week. Other thing, the prior version had a small floating icon which was good for exiting, tain't there on this new one, not important, just different as have to go to the dashboard, a place rarely visited before. Nice tool you have there, hope it does well for you.
