I may have entered the symbols into these portfolios on 12/11/13, but did not enter any purchase information. I just checked another portfolio I started on 8/28/2014 and it does say 8/28/2014, however, I did enter # of shares and amount for all the symbols in that portfolio. Shouldn't the date default to the date of purchase? I just checked the old Quotetracker, and don't see a purchase date option; so can't go by that.

Just trying some paper-trading here with Medved Trader and noticed that the portfolio date defaults to 12/11/13. Not sure of the significance of that date, but shouldn't it or wouldn't it, be better to have it default to today's date?
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select any stock from a portfolio.
2. Click on Edit Portfolios Icon at top left of page (to the right of the blinking LED).
3. Enter a qty, purchase price, and notice that the date has to be changed to reflect today's date.

Separate is spelled incorrectly.
Any way to cause it to open in a different browser than IE?
I use FF or Chrome myself.

While you're still working on the finishing touches of MedVed Trader is there anyway you can add an indicator value column, where we could specific the closing value of an indictor such as RSI, for example, which would simply give us the number value of the indicator without looking it up on the chart? Perhaps, you could make it possible to select which indicator to present in the column?

Sorry Jerry, I just discovered they changed something here in Windows 7. If you right-click on the taskbar, click properties, and change taskbar buttons to always combine, it fixes this problem. It seemed to me this used to be in VB on developer side, guess they moved to user end.

Yes I can click each one or anyone in the group to bring it up.

It is grouping. If I mouseover anyone of the placeholders, I see all of the same in each one. That's my point. Thought there was a way to turn off the individual ones.

That's what I was wondering. No option to just use grouping?

Both are checked. But I need that to reopen shrink down charts. It just doesn't seem to make sense to repeat this everytime you open another component; especially since all of the information is contained in each one (grouping). Know what I mean?

Hey Jerry,
Is this by design? Every time I open a component of MT (Chart, Dashboard, portfolio, etc) MT places another minimized placeholder on the taskbar. Seems kind of redundant, because if I mouseover any one of those, I see all of them within the placeholder. I'm not able to give you a clip of the opened placeholder, but you can try on your end.

Problem happening again today. I sent you an email to the address you replied from yesterday. I tried to follow your instructions, but streaming was already checked after running your fix version yesterday.

Originally, I wasn't fiddling with anything. When Jerry suggested turning off streaming by unchecking, I did that. But before I sent the file to him, I went back in and checked if off again since he said it wasn't the problem. I have it off right now. It's the only way I can get it to update.

Okay, I sent you the file. But I turned streaming back on and it stopped again. Turned it off, and it's working. $DJI is not the only item not updating. I just used that as example.

Okay. I just closed it down altogether and reopened and it's working now.
I will shut down streaming.

Hey Jerry, it's happening again this morning. It's got the $DJI stuck at 68.90 and reforcing login is not fixing it. Other ETFs are also stuck on their price change.

The thing is, you still see cells flashing and changing on the spreadsheet leading you to believe it's being updated.

I do not see force relogin with right-click on dashboard.

I had to change name and password, then go back and enter same original name and password. TDA must be blocking you. QT continues to work.

streaming is checked. Still has same change and last price as it did 1/2 hour ago.

Forgot to mention QT has correct prices as well.

I cannot see the reason why position is even changing.
