Well I clicked on the Bull/MT line, and yes indeed, it opens up the program.

In order to put a click start icon on the desktop with QT, it was called "stocks application". I see with MT a little bull symbol with MT next to it. It is called application. Is this what will put the icon on the desktop to start it up by clicking on it?

I purchased a new computer, and want to get MT on it. Can I use a flash memory stick to transfer my current setup and settings, or do I have to do a fresh download on the new computer and start from scratch?

Well I am up and running as a little while ago. Is the fix permanent? Or is this something which could crop up from time to time with Ally?

MT Trading??? Hmmmm. Potato, potaaaato. As of 5:40 AM here in Phoenix, no luck. 8:40 back at Ally headquarters, I think. Everyone is still waking up.

Count me in as well. I'm using 4600-2050 but that probably does not matter. I have been trying to launch MT for the past hour, but no luck. I have tried both of my user names. No luck. Of course I can log into Ally/MT Trading no problem with either user name. Oh well, back to sleep. Try later.

Well it has been working for the past month or so only using one user name. Not any more. If I have MB Pro running, and then open MT using the same user name, it shuts off the quote connection for the MB Pro. It appears that MT is the dominate program and lords over the MB Pro program and causes it to capitulate. You never struck me over the years as the type of guy who always had to have the upper hand, but I suppose your wife would confirm that if I asked her. Wink wink. Anyway, I will just use my two user names as I have over the years, which is no problem for me. Have a good day. Over and out.

If you recall back in the days of QT, it was required to have two user names. One for QT, and one for MBT Navigator, now known as MBT Desktop Pro. Something about their API. When using MT, this problem was resolved and only one user name was required to operate both software programs simultaneously. Until a few days ago. I believe it was last summer that MB Trading was purchased by TradeKing. Then TradeKing was purchased by Ally. Last weekend the transition was made for MBTrading, which is now known as MBTrading by Ally. "But" I now have to go back to using two user names when running both programs simultaneously, or if not, the program I open "last", does not work. This just seems to have happened out of the blue, which is not a problem for me as I still have two user names. But strange that this quirk popped up. Just a heads up for you folks at MT.

Good morning: Could you modify the EMA indicator so the "period" can be imputed in decimals, such as 1.5 or 1.7 or such. Currently it only works in increments of 1, or 2, etc. however you can type in 1.5 or 1.7 but nothing changes. Type in 1.7 and it still is at 1 on the chart. Type in 1.95 and it still shows 1 on the chart. Only when you type in 2 does it change. In QT you could do decimals and it worked. The "shift" feature does allow decimal increment changes that actually do work on the chart. Thank you for your consideration.

I was reading the previous thread about MB Trading and TradeKing. I've been with MBT since 2001. I'm a slow learner. This morning when launching MT, is was no-go. A pop up asking for my user and password appeared. Which of course I already have. Tried it again. Still would not connect. Then I read that earlier thread. Tried it again, and now I connect. I also downloaded the lasted edition of MT. I have always run MT and MBT Pro simultaneously. Using two different user names, from the old QT days. So if you could explain what is happening again, in ten words or less? BTW, I only use one chart with two indicators so I have been using the freebie. I do feel guilty. Christmas is in a couple of months. What would you like from Santa?

Just upgraded to 1551.1219 and the same problem as before is popping up. The EMA envelope is showing the center line, even though the show center line box is not checked. This happened before a couple of months ago.

This seemed to start with the version just prior to the resent update. So a couple of weeks ago. I am currently using 1039.420 Regarding the EMA envelope, you have the top line, the bottom line, and a box you can check if you want the center line. Now, the center line always shows up, even with the box not checked. I cannot get rid of the center line.

I would get occasional pop ups introducing a new version. I would ignore them. I will not any longer. Thanks for your help.

Yes, it now works. Is 868.433 a beta version? I had been using the original version, and not doing the beta updates.

Getting some sort of new error report, and will not open. MB Trading is working using either one of my two user names. I have emailed you the log files.

Yes. Thanks. I had MT running all day on Monday, and this problem began early Tuesday morning when I attempted to launch MT. And then about three hours after the market opened (6:30 am opening time here in AZ) MT worked. Just the same it is connecting now without an issue. Thanks again.

Did you get a chance to look at that file? When I attempted to load MT this morning it would not connect. I tried about four times. Once again, it did finally load later in the morning. But I never ran QT when attempting to load MT.
