  1. A linked Historical Chart does not ALWAYS show all the indicators and annotations that are displayed on an unlinked Historical chart.  This random.  Most show all indicators on both but sometimes the Linked chart has some but not all indicators missing.

The SHIA Linked chart is missing the Trendline Alert but it is shown on the unlinked chart.  The Trendline Alert and Line indicators are the ones most often lost but annotations are also frequently lost.

  2. Changed from TD Ameritrade to Fidelity for quotes.

    Portfolio quotes are updating normally.

Intraday charts for Indices are updating normally.

Intraday charts for portfolio symbols are not updating in real time but can be back filled.

  3. I was able to recreate the problem.

I displayed a historical chart on the first monitor.

Selected a previously created text box.

Added text after the last comment line in the existing text box. (Did not hit OK because I was not finished)

Clicked on the browser page on the second monitor to gather more text.

The text box on the Historical chart disappeared.

  4. Has anyone pinpointed an intermittent problem with the chart text entry box disappearing?

Occasionally since the last update I have experienced a text box which was created in a previous session disappearing after I add additional text and then switch to browser on a different monitor before clicking OK on the text box.

I cannot seem to recreate the problem but I will keep trying to narrow down the conditions when it occurs but usually, I just look up and it is gone.

  5. 1/8 close Chtr MT Historical Chart Values

    High    509.99

    Low     498.55

    Close   500.70

     1/8  Stock chart values

    High    509.99

    Low     498.55

    Close   500.70

    My calculated values

    Chtr 1/9 Intraday chart

    Pivot 503.17

I understand the label difference now.

My Pivot calculation still differs from yours.  I checked yesterday’s values and compared them to Stock charts which were the same for a couple of symbols.  I still cannot figure how you get the result you display on the chart. Some MT symbol chart pivot values are correct but others differ from my spread sheet calculated values.  Since the TC calculation uses Pivot it can differ also. What values did you use for CHTR from 1/8 close?

  6. The labels TC and BC seem to be reversed on the chart. I think the TC should be on the top and BC on the bottom.   I calculated the BC, P and TC using The H, L and C below

    CHTR 1/7/20 values

    High  498.15

    Low 490.93

    Close 497.45

    Calculated BC  494.54

                            P 495.51

                            TC 496.48

    The Indicator displayed on chart

    BC 496.3933  Versus calculated 497.48

    TC 494.54     Correct

    P 495.4667.   Versus calculate  495.51

My calculations used 2 decimal point values from Historical chart. The Pivot (P) I calculated looks to be the problem.

    What am I doing wrong?

  7. I draw a trendline or Annotation on a linked Historical chart. I click on another linked symbol and then click on the original symbol and the trendline or annotation is there just as you would expect.

If you then click on the X in the upper right corner (Usually by mistake) of that linked historical chart and then move the cursor over the bid on the portfolio page to display  that same historical chart of that symbol the trend line or annotation is gone.

You can link again and the trendline or annotation will again display.

Is it possible that trendlines and annotations are being stored in two different places for linked and un-linked charts?

I expected it to show once drawn no matter if the chart was linked or not.

  8. When the "Add Indicators used by the Paintbar to the chart" is selected those indicators are added to the chart.  Is there a way to reverse this command to remove those indicators just added?

That reversal would be tricky if the any of the indicators were previously included on the chart.

I use this command for debugging.

The only ways I know to remove them are manually delete each one or reload the template before the command was executed.

  9. Correct the trace values do not overlap.  Their prices will show on trace with the cursor positioned in the top right corner but only if the indicator text box has the Show Current Value selected.

If the indicator text box has the Show Current value checked the price will show on the right of the chart and will overlap other price(S) when the indicators converge, that is the dilemma. If all the indicators are checked they will show on the trace but because it is so cluttered it is very difficult to figure which price goes with which indicator.

The only way I can figure to get the value of an indicator is to uncheck the Show Current Value of the other converging indicators, apply the changes or close the edit indicator box, see the value and then go back and recheck the boxes.

When you point to the indicator it becomes highlighted and the indicator name is also highlighted on the top line of the chart. If the current value was shown on the right of the chart (when the Show Current Value is unchecked)  and disappear when the cursor is moved it would solve the problem.

The price for each indicator could be shown at the top of the chart but that would take up a lot of additional space and not that desirable.

  10. Is there a setting or combination of settings which would allow the current price of an indicator to be displayed on the right side of a chart when the cursor hovers over the indicator?

The current price of the indicator will always display if you select  :Show line prices on the indicator selection box but when multiple indicators converge the prices are overlaid and cannot be read. To reduce the clutter most of my indicators do not have the SHOW PRICE option selected.

My current chart settings are:  Always Show Trace and Default Trace

  11. Is there a way to increase the font size when entering text into a text entry box on a chart?

I can’t find a way to increase the size of the text entry box which has a very small font size when displayed on a laptop.

The actual text displayed on the chart can be increased or decreased by enlarging the text box on the chart after closing the text entry box but editing in the text entry box is a problem for my old eyes.
