Trade-Ideas Refugee
I'm looking to automatically (i.e. not manually input symbols) into a portfolio, based on a set of criteria (ex. price range, float, exchange). Once the portfolio is constructed, I want it to intelligently add/remove symbols based on custom columns. Is this possible? I took a look at https://www.medvedtrader.com/trader/WebHelp/ but it doesn't indicate this.
Jerry Medved
what you are looking for is to be able to scan a large list of symbols, then make a portfolio out of the result. You would be able to do that with the scanning that is released in the BETA version: https://medvedtrader.com/beta You do need to have the initial portfolio to scan, so you need to have a large portfolio with the initial "Universe" of symbols that you want scanned. Like maybe NASDAQ. Then you can scan that, with FILTER option - so only matching results show. Open the portfolio that you want the results to go to in a separate window. On the scan window, highlight all rows and drag them to the result portfolio. Done.
