I have been using Yahoo delayed - seems to print during the day. I want to verify some setups with a better datafeed supplier I mainly want Emini YM ES etc - TICK TRIN - is my only option IQ FEED? If so whats the cheapest way to get that?

What formulas are used for your indicators for standard pivots? What hours will it encapsulate?

I came across some old information whereby someone created a Perl scrip to automate trading through QT's paint bar alert system. Pretty interesting, unsure how robust it would be though. It used all free software to do it as well, which was quite amazing.

Thanks Jerry. Jerry if I use IQ for a feed, will that give me daily charts as well? If so how many days can I hold intraday and daily?

Is this anything that is planned for? At a bare minimum, the ability initiate a trade based on a paint bar alert may work. I have zero experience in automating trading, but I see potential in the MT charts that I do not see elsewhere. Features and options used in MT are physically much clearer than other platforms. If anyone out here has experience with other platforms and creating automated systems, please contact me.

Where does one get started in creating or combining indicators to use in MT? Is this functionality available or planned for?

The ability to create paintbars based on literally "anything" as before. The ability to have a paintbar trigger an audio file or other type of file. Any kind of automated trading. I apologize if any of this has been covered already.

They want me to park a minimum of $10,000 in an account to get that data. I can do that, but would rather not.

Can I trust the tick data supplied in the Yahoo backfill? I want to check it but do not want to sign up for IQ feed right now

IQ Feed is closed. Can I use your username and password to load Emini data into my Trader program? You can change it on Monday and lock me out. I need Emini tick data to create range bars - please. I would really appreciate it.

OK how about for brokers? I can open an account to get reliable tick data. IQfeed is very expensive for my purposes.

That is a help thank you. What about delayed tick data without a broker account or a paid data feed? I also found some tick data in .txt format on the web, can I utilize this somehow?

Installed and worked fine, restarted MT maybe 5 times everything ok. Now all I get is the dashboard and see no option for opening any charts or loading my saved layout or template.

Is there a way to get back fed or intraday delayed Emini tick data without a broker? Some historical tick data site or can someone provide me this data? I am back testing and trying the new software and I currently am not trading. I am mainly looking for ES Emini data, even older data. Thank you.

I just wanted to say how excited I am to see a new Medved product being developed. I loved Quotetracker for many reasons and this looks and feels so familiar.

Jerry, would love to try it too. Also, where do I stand with QT and windows 8 ? Can I still use QT, if not what version and what OS should I run?
