ETHX.B.TO and BTCX.B.TO
After launching Medved the charts update for a while then stop. All my other charts update but these 2 randomly stop. Have to open a new chart, same as this chart, then have 2 updated charts as a work around.
Been seeing this daily for over a week now.

I Right click on a chart for the shortcut menu & select Add Alerts.
1st try this morning, I clicked on a symbol in the account view of a position I hold & it came up right away.
Then tried clicking on a chart & it failed. Re-tried adding an alert by going back to a symbol in the account view & it failed.
-
When trying to set an alert, I see a flash & then just blank space. In the screen cap of "invisible" there is a very thin line showing the border of a transparent window. Several minutes later the config wind will appear. Time varies but 1 test took 2 minutes.
Running updated Windows on a relatively new Dell XPS, i7 processor, 32Gb. RAM, SSD, 8Gb. video card
I put a couple of arrows on the capture to point out top & bottom lines

Sending as per report request from this morning

Thanks Jerry, that helped.

This only happens on 1 of my screens. Symbol doesn't seem to matter.
I can put the same symbol on another screen with identical charts & no flashing.
Tried to attach a very short mp4 video but was 5Mb. in size.

option chains from Questrade frequently don't fill completely. Gaps at certain strikes are seen. Happens with multiple symbols.
Often very slow to load if they do fill in.
Sometimes get an error message from Questrade saying trying to load too many symbols. ie. Requesting 63 when restricted to 50.
I make the chain window display as few strikes as possible to hopefully it doesn't try to load as many but doesn't always work not do I always get the Questrade error message.

Clearing worked. ThanksJerry.

Thanks Jerry. Once I found that setting you mentioned I got the charts back. Appreciate the dynamite support you provide.

I can't find the adjust scale setting you mentioned.
I turned off enable chart trading & that hid the order
-
OK, tell me where to get the log for you please
-
no, it is an options order. It was placed on broker platform as it is a spread trade.
-
I'm not sure why the option orders show up on stock charts either. I can't find where the adjust scale setting is to check it.

Once the order filled, the charts went back to normal.

Placed an order on my brokers platform for a vertical Put spread on DIS.
Oddly the order is showing on the stock charts making them unreadable. With the stock around $195 & the spread price @ $1.27 the chart gets super compressed.
Since it's an option order not a stock order it shouldn't show on those charts.
The order doesn't show on the intraday option charts and they display correctly.
-
Thanks Jerry, Haven't seen the update email though.

You're right Jerry, the actual option is 197.5
I thought the symbol in the window was simply truncated or may just not show decimal places.
I really like that I can have an intraday chart of the options not just the chain showing. On the chart window of the option you can see the $197.50 price
and if I add to my position the # of options in account view updates correctly, just not the other details and as you saw, the price doesn't display properly.
However, here's a bizarre, interesting & potentially dangerous twist. And I've noticed this happen twice now on DIS options.
I place an order on the chart window. Usually after sending it stays visible. A couple of times it hasn't and I've ended up with double orders getting executed. Once I wanted to add 2 & got 4 & next time went to add 3 & got 6 but they execute as 2 different orders each time.
Later on I placed a limit order to get out at $4.50. It didn't get back there but late in the afternoon I decided to perhaps sell just above breakeven so not to carry this position through the weekend. I got a server error when trying to send the order. I then checked the chart window - screen cap attached. You can't see my order to STC at $4.50 on Medved but look at my broker's screen capture. The order is there and that's why I think I got the server error, it wasn't going to let me submit on Medved & since I couldn't see it, I could not modify it.
Unfortunately with Questrade if I'm in Medved I can't access the trade platform since they see me logged in. I have to logout. login their to check things, logout & can then get back into Medved. Rather awkward they have that restriction.

When bringing up an option chain and selecting Vertical Spreads I see Bid/ask columns on the left for 1 strike & Bid/ask columns on the right for the 2nd strike. If I double click on either of these I get a trade ticket.
When I double click on the middle Bid/ask columns which shows the difference between the 1st & 2nd strike prices nothing happens. How do I place a Vertical Spread trade?
If I do 1 side then the other, I've had to put on separate trades which defeats the purpose of the option chain window.
2 symbols that stop updating

Not sure how to check how many symbols I have. I do know that I have to use the .TO to get the charts. A .CA extension appears however in the account view that shows my positions.
Just a blank screen with .TO
