  1. Hi, I have a hotkey set up to sell at market, whereby it will immediately set a bracket order to take profit and stop loss. It gets me into positions fine, and also sets up the bracket orders ok, but I can't figure out what I have set up incorrectly (if anything) to get this popup. Screenshot below of (1) popup (2) hotkey setup.
  2. Perfect - that worked - it wasn't checked before. Thanks!
  3. Hi, How do I exclude pre and post market prices from historical charts? Examples here, NEM chart - Interactive brokers TWS shows this as a gap up (does not include pre-market trades), but Medved doesn't.
  4. Apologies for bringing up this old thread - but is there an variable hotkey that is "account value" now? I don't see anything that resembles it in the variables page, but just want to be sure
  5. Sometimes I have to be away from the screens for a while, and was wondering if it is possible for me to give Medved an instruction to enter (or exit) a position if something happens on the chart (e.g. MACD crossover, or the price moving below a certain moving average). Also, assuming it is an entry - am I able to also have it set a stop based on something else happening on the chart?
  6. I have 4 level 2 windows with IB as the source. Is 3 the limit? I don't have Level 2 showing in TWS.
  7. I have 4 tickers up on charts, each colour linked to Level 2 windows. Account is linked to Interactive Brokers, and data is also from Interactive Brokers. When changing tickers, I sometimes end up with the Level 2 just showing the first line, but then sometimes, all the lines show up. This seems to happen at random too. Sometimes, going into Settings > Data Source -Configure Accounts > Interactive Brokers, and changing "Max lines on Level II" to a different number resets some of Level 2 windows (and they show all the lines properly), but sometimes it doesn't make a difference (and the L2 will still just show the first line). Example of how it looks:
  8. Sorry I wasn't very clear. I mean just for this one trade. So if I already have $15k of this position, I don't mind buying more. just that I want this specific trade capped at a specific amount.
  9. Hi, I've got a buy at market hotkey which helps me automatically work out position size based on how much I want to risk, ask price, and stop loss price. I have it set up as per image below (It's set to risk $30 per trade). I'm now trying to incorporate a way to have a cap on the maximum position size, at say $10,000. How would I put that into the formula? Tried searching through help & forums on how to do this but couldn't figure it out.
  10. Hi, I've got a buy at market hotkey which helps me automatically work out position size based on how much I want to risk, ask price, and stop loss price. i.e. to risk $30 per trade, it's entered as: 30/(Ask-PriceAtMouse) I'm now trying to trying to do the same for a Buy Stop, using Trade Beads. I've got bead(1) as the stop loss price, and bead(2) as the trigger price to buy at market, but when I press the hotkey after selecting bead(1) and bead(2) on the chart, I get an error saying "Hotkey Error: Order quantity of 0". Screenshots attached: Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
  11. Hi Jerry, I ran into another problem now. Similar in that a hotkey is only executing on one account only, so will just add on to this thread. I'm trying to set up a hotkey to flatten both accounts, but when I execute it, only one account gets flat. Screenshot of hotkey setup and chart window / account view attached. Did I set up the hotkey incorrectly?
  12. Just tried Jerry, I get the same error, and it still only fills on the account with the active chart I execute the order on.
  13. Yup it's definitely executed - I left it and got stopped out. I think the red error box is in reference to the orders not filling on the other account (i.e. not the one that I have the chart opened and placed the order on) Forgot to mention: I tested by setting Account 1 as the active account on the chart, and it filled orders for Account 1, but not account 2. I then set Account 2 as the active account on the chart, and it filled orders for Account 2, and not Account 1.
  14. It works though. I just tried it again - here is a screenshot. Not sure why? Unless I am understanding you guys wrong. Only issue is the order doesn't execute (both legs) on the non-active account.
  15. Thanks for the quick reply. When you say secondary leg, what does that mean in my case? I assume you mean the second (inactive) account? Because the stop loss actually gets placed on the account in the active window that my mouse hovers over, but not the other account.
  16. Hi there, just signed up for Medved the other day. Been setting it up and am honestly excited at how configurable it seems. Now on to my first problem - I run a Friends and Family Advisor account, and I'm trying to configure a hotkey to split the order across the 2 accounts, while taking the PriceAtMouse as the stop loss price. I've tested splitting the first part (splitting the order across 2 accounts), and that works well. Today I added in the StopMarket order with the sell at PriceAtMouse, and it only executes on the active account I have on the chart. For the other account, the orders don't execute, and I get the error below. Screenshots attached. Any help greatly appreciated!
  17. Is this a feature you are planning to add? (Automatically spreading the order across the accounts under the advisor account)
