Please provide means to remove spikes from candles in historical charts

Where does the high low close data on historical charts come from?

 

If I choose backfill from yahoo on a historical chart does the last days'  close come from there?

CHANGED - STOP/START button on portfolio - Made it show the LED for incoming data

 

Would help my bad eyesight if blinking led was much larger

Same thing is happening to me

I guess I didn't hit Start.

 

Every time I switch to another portfolio it reverts to "Start"

 

Shouldn't this be Started  by default?

I'm seeing these problems

 

1:.. symbol quotes in portfolios not updating always until i click on the symbol or open an intraday chart.

 

2:  this prevents me from having an accurate chart of intraday portfolio value

 

3:  a portfolio using interactive brokers as a quote source does not show symbols having the same price as shown in my TWS

                 This is obvious at the end of the day

 

Am i doing something wrong or what?

My mistake. 

I have it set in Settings/Charts/General.

I thought it would apply to all charts

Checked chart's VIEW tab and changed to Default(Never)

That fixed it

I did a windows 7 system restore and  seems to fix most of my problems . Portfolios are available .Layout  of screen needs fooling around to get all my chart windows to show but looks doable

 

For next time I have this type of problem:

 

Couldn't access  %appdata%\2gk\Medved Trader.  What is complete address?

 

How do I backup automatically on exit?

 

How do I restore from backups if i have problems?

I don't think I made myself clear.

 

I wasn't writing about a serious problem. Charts with a compare symbol mainly work fine.

 

I'm referring to a minor inconvenience.

 

Say I have a chart with symbol ABC, symbol link red, and a compare indicator TLT with a custom anchor set to 3/17 and a period  3 months

 

To start wit the line for ABC crosses TLT at 3/17

 

If  I change the period, the anchor line stays put at 3/17  but the crossover is no longer at 3/17

 

If I change the symbol, the anchor line stays put at 3/17  but the crossover is no longer at 3/17

 

( I think the crossover gets moved to yhe left edge of all data)

 

Clicking on the anchor restores the crossover to 3/17

 

 

The extra mouse click is not a big deal but it's annoying.

 

[Charts with compare indicator]

Charts with compare indicator don't line up at crossover anchor automatically. Need to be clicked.(happens automatically in QT)
