  1. I presented my case, defended my case, then argued my case, finally you made it happen. Thank you.
  2. The current value of MACD is not displayed for the line, instead displays the value of the Histogram.
  3. Deomega, Creating a product adaptable to the natural human behavior is the best secret in a successful business. It is always better to design things according to our physical articulation and natural proclivity. Trying to change that course is what make people uncomfortable and turn away. The reason I liked QT over other hundreds of programs was its simplicity and freedom to move the windows as we wish, as many as we want anywhere on the desktop. I accidently came to know that Medved is making this new program. Few weeks ago, I had a fight with Ameritrade for destroying that QT. Ameritrade sent me an email saying that they no longer support QT when I had problems with the Indices feed. Then I was in search of another program to use and then I stumbled upon one website where a small forum talking about QT and then I saw Medved’s replies to them that he is making a new program called MT. I was so thrilled and now here I am with him. I want to see this software to be a very user friendly as much as possible; I have been making all kinds of comments to Medved Brothers. I know there are some technical and logical problems to implement certain features but if it is possible, then I want them to adjust it. I don’t know if there is any legal problem to implement same features as QT since it is owned by Ameritrade. One thing I noticed in computer programming is that the programmers’ brains work in terms of logical algorithm to write codes to execute a function. They rarely visualize the human response at the receiving end during that process. They need feed back from guinea pigs. How many website on internet you have seen with horrible color contrasts or fonts and can’t read anything at all or straining your eyes. If I come across some interesting articles in some website with horrible color contrast, I copy the text into a word processor to read it to save my eyes. When people are not comfortable, they leave the website. Relevant to our subject here is that I didn’t want to use that ThinkorSwim program that Ameritrade is touting because of its uncomfortable designs. I put it this way, using that program is like walking in a sac and can’t move my legs freely.
  4. Ha, I have to cross my left hand across to reach the Delete key on the right side of the Keyboard. You are a programmer, your hands fly left and right all the time on the Key board, so it is not a big deal for you. We are spoiled kids. Don't you think that right clicking and deleting with a finger is more user friendly?
  5. Deomega, Regarding Keyboard short cuts, we have to take our hands off the mouse and going to the keyboard is kind of flunky compared to right clicking and deleting with a finger. I had experimented with moving the Toolbar below the Ribbon. In my case that is not feasible, considering the space it takes away from the graph. I use about 10 to 15 graphs at a time that is adjusted to roughly 8'X4' size, which is arranged like tiles. So, I need to avoid that second Toolbar. However, that Quick Access Toolbar is very good given there is no other option. I tried to add that Delete button to the Toolbar, but the "Add to Quick Access Toolbar" is grayed out for that button. Are you able to do that? Most annoying for me is deleting a line that is accidentally leaving on the graph when I move the cursor very fast. That is when the right click menu is very useful to delete it. Right now, the Right click menu has "Spike Removal" , "Add/Edit Indicators", among others. That is very handy, instead of going to the main control. I wonder Jerry/Mike can add a Delete option in the Context Menu without much trouble for them.
  6. Most of the tasks need more than two or three steps with Ribbon Control. In a context menu (right click), it is very easy to do the task. For example, to delete a line on a Graph, have to go to the left upper corner to open the Ribbon Control, select Draw, then delete. In a context menu, just right click on the line and delete it or do whatever other functions with a Right click menu. I wonder anybody else feels the annoyance with the Ribbon Control.
  7. Yes, I tested. The level II doesn't work if it links to a portfolio then skip through the symbols. I didn't link it to any graph. In order to get out of that blank level II, close MT and relaunch it.
  8. OK, my original concern was we can't select a System Color Set to apply to the Graph since the Apply button is grayed out.. Now I copied a system color set and applied to test it. However, it didn't change the color scheme from what I customized the FIRST time. Please try it.
  9. If I select any of the Given color set, it doesn't let me edit anything at all.
  10. I noticed that after customizing a "New color set" for graph and click apply, and then want to go back to the System defined color set, the Apply button is not active to apply it. The Apply button is grayed out. Only way to select any of the given Color Set is to delete the customized New color set. Once it is deleted and select any of the given color set, the Apply button is active. I expect that the "Apply" button should be active whenever we select another color set.
  11. No, I don't. Sorry, I was referring to the core Window color scheme.
  12. Regarding the Graph window color, you made it in such a way that anyone can customize according to one's taste. I changed the color according to the way I want. So I thought it is about the core windows. Here we are confusing the terminology. That grid you are referring to is actually the Chart. Everybody in the Wall street uses the wrong word Chart for Graphs.
  13. Please make a Gray color scheme. Gray color has different shades, but I am talking about the Classic Window background, I don't know the exact technical name for it, if there is any at all. Similar to the QT's background color in Classic view. That color scheme is being used by almost all software to reduce glare, including Microsoft OS Classic view.

All the White letters are kind of fussy with that Black theme, but can read.
  15. Ok. it is perfect. Bollinger bands looks same...
  16. I did it now. It showed me 1.0.0.2. So, I clicked on it to download, but that window shut down very fast. I went again to check updates, it says, " You have the latest version of all files" Then I went to check the version, it shows the previous version 1.0.851.2310. So, it didn't work. I tried again, same message, "you have the latest version......"
  17. Thank you. If you have time, I want you to add RSI and Stochastic indicators. If I can get those two, I don't have to launch QT anymore.

Yes, that is what I am using now to avoid glare from that Silver and blue theme. The Black color theme is better out of those three. The problem with that color is that its color contrast. The letters are hard to read, especially Green letters. For example on the Level II price change. By the way, the scroll bar color of the graph won't change. It is still that bright white color. I don't know if it is a bug or by design.

I am not picky about colors but to reduce the strain on our eyes. I have a request. The QT Windows Gray (?) color is easy on our eyes and has a base color contrast to other colors to read letters as well. I think that is the Classic Window gray color. This color reduces the glare and helps all of our eyes. Would you make one more Visual style with that Gray color?
  20. Try Daily FCX graph. The 200 SMA on QT is 30.81 and MT is 31.93
  21. I noticed that Bollinger bands shapes are not same as the old QT or other software. And its upper and lower values are also not closer to QT values or other software outputs. I am using the default value, (20,2) to compare.. Also, I noticed that the 200 SMA value is different than QT or other software. I didn't try any of other Moving averages. Just try it with any ticker symbol and test it. Use Daily graph.
  22. When I changed the "Text" color to White, it changed all the legends in the Graph to White as expected. But it also changed the "Last" price color to White in the Graph display, though that "Last" color is kept as Yellow.
  23. Sorry I was away. I am using Vista Ultimate SP2, 32 bit OS; Processor Intel CPU Q6850 @3Ghz; RAM 4 GB, Using Classic view Graphics card Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX at 1680x1050
  24. Would you add the common RSI and Stochastic indicators?
  25. On the Portfolio Title bar I see a blue flashing band almost every second. Is it by design or a bug?
