  1. The two historic data sources for  Australian Stock Exchange listed stocks  are Google, and Yahoo.  Yahoo is  very wrong with some of its data, so I use Google.

However, a glitch in Google data occurred on July 30, 2014. For the day's low price for many stocks, the decimal point has been shifted to the left, so, for example, $39.63 becomes $0.39.  This is playing havoc with charts which show that day as a massive plunge and the candle chart reduces to an unintelligible horizontal line with a long down spike on July 30.

I have to call up historic data, scroll down to July 30, and delete the offending day altogether--every time I open a chart.

Is there any way in doing this once only, locking in either a manually edited correct data for that day, or locking in the  data with the day deleted once and for all?

Over several weeks I have brought it to Google finance's attention but no replies to  my feedback, no correction.

  2. My data source is Comsec,  and while everything works well for individual stocks,  I can't get charts for ASX indices such as the all ordinaries (XAO:ASX);  small ordinaries  (XSO:ASX); financials (XFJ:ASX).

The price levels, high/low. change etc display, but no historic charts.  "There is no data to chart" comes up on the historic chart page, with no chart.

    For each of the indices:

Raw data-- the last is for April 16 2014

historic data- only the present day is available

  3. Having just posted my responses, I re-started Medved Trader, and for the first time got a  " Medved Trader encountered an Error"

"Unable to start Streamer Commsec.Error:error compiling script for streamer Commsec.

Please contact Medved Trader technical support and provide the error details

Compile Error at (0,0):Error # CS2008: No source file specified

  4. Hi Jerry, thanks for the response, and sorry to disrupt your travel.

Commsec time was set to Australian equities, but Yahoo to US. I've set it to Australian equiies and now Yahoo is working.

    As far as I can see there are no Commsec HTML files in the 2GK data folder. The path is;

          Program data\2GK\Medved Trader\

There are no  Temp\Streamers  folders after that, just the individual files, and the only Commsec file has a  .site suffix:

                  Streamer_Commsec.site

There are   5 XML files: Appsettings, chartcolorsets, coloschemes, holidays, and timetrames.

ASX data is still showing the day's low stock prices as higher than the day's high. Volumes are still wrong. Most stocks have a volume in double digits--instead of 6 to 8 digits--and the erroneous volume does not refresh in any case.

I am emailing the log file and Streamer_commsec.site files to you.

    Regards

    Inspired

  5. I mentioned some time ago the screen would not refresh Commsec data after the computer was awoken from sleep mode.

From this morning,  Commsec is not refreshing at all, even after a computer start or re-start.  Clicking refresh does nothing.

With Yahoo as the data source, from this morning, there's no auto refresh. Will refresh only by clicking "refresh"

Everything works with ASX as the source, but of course the high/low data is wrong and the volumes are totally wrong.

    Frequency is set at "1"

  6. OK, I'll be patient :)

Just woke up the  computer after an hour's sleep mode. Comsec quotes are of course stopped and cannot be refreshed, manually or through start/stop.   Switched the quote source to   yahoo, and they will  refresh, once,  by clicking  refresh. Clicking  start, it refreshes once but doesn't keep going. Frequency is set to 1.

  7. Duration of sleep makes no difference, clicking refresh ineffective. I think it also fails to re-start once I click STOP and have the quotes off for more than a few seconds.

It's after hours here now, so will confirm if this latter issue is the case next week.

  8. For the last week or so, if I have Medved trader running, and later I put the computer in sleep mode (windows 8.1), when I wake the computer and press the "start" refresh button on MT, it does not refresh, quotes stay stopped.  I have to close down MT, then relaunch it for the stop/start to work.
