Is implementing CFDs a complete non-starter for IB? With my automated trading (using Zorro) I can trade/view them no problem - I just send a slightly different string to the Gateway.
For instance:
For a European CFD like SOLB (Solvay) I append "*-STKCFD-SMART/-EUR"
...whereas for a European stock, like KPN (Koninklijke) it's "*-STK-SMART/AEB-EUR"
I trade a mix of EUR stocks and CFDs as a pairs portfolio and use the CFDs where the country concerned has a Financial Transaction Tax. Even being able to see my CFD positions in Account View would be a nice start. (Save me having heart failure when I suddenly think my pairs trades have turned into outrights because I can't see the CFDs.)
