  1. Wanted to report a glitch that only seems to happen with the Black Visual Style selected. If you select that style then open the Settings Window, you can see crosshair flickering when you move the mouse over the title bar of the Settings window. The crosshairs, when the mouse is on the title bar, appear right on the default system mouse pointer when this is done. So what you see is the default mouse pointer AND the crosshairs flickering. This occurs when the Settings window is hovering above a chart. Also, the popup "tooltip" window showing current bar OHLC data will flicker on the chart when moving the mouse over the title bar of the Settings window. Also, if I have a watchlist open with Ribbon Tabs minimized and single left-click on the Main tab, the ribbon flickers sporadically. This occurs with the Black Visual Style selected. I can't reliably reproduce this with the watchlist window maximized. But it can be reproduced when the window is shrunk such that the width of the window is shorter than the length of the title in the title bar which is how I use it. In addition, there is a little up/down arrow at the top right of the window allowing us to manually maximize or minimize the ribbon. If I minimize the ribbon and then select, for example, the Main tab that selection opens the ribbon but the up/down arrow at the upper right-hand corner of the window doesn't reflect that the ribbon has been opened. So if, at that point, I left click that up/down arrow instead of minimizing the ribbon, the ribbon simply flickers as if it's being opened again.
  2. Awesome. Looks like just subscribing to Stockwatch was big mistake.
  3. I recently subscribed to Stockwatch but am already unhappy with how the time and sales data is sent out in 1 second bursts rather than live real time. Am thinking of trying Quotestream. Do they do this as well? Generally, how do they compare?
  4. Okay, everything is working now. Thanks for the help.
  5. Okay, I've changed everything in the portfolios to Stockwatch but I'm still seeing an active streaming connection with IB. I want to totally sever this connection. All backfill options have been set to Stockwatch.
  6. Okay so basically I established an account with Stockwatch years ago that was a trial account. I used the same username and password to upgrade from the trial to a paid subscription today. Unfortunately it seems to be sending out quote data in bursts every 1 second interval. That's odd, not used to that. One other question I had. I am not going to be using IB anymore. But can't seem to deactivate it in the settings. When I try to uncheck the boxes for the data feeds (Level 1, Level 2, etc.) nothing happens. When I click on Sources from the dashboard it still shows IB as an active stream.

    Rounding?

Thank you for the confirmation. I suspected and hoped that was the case. I'm used to working in a scripting language which has some wonky results when it comes to the functions used for this purpose and didn't want to spend a huge amount of time testing and wondering how it would work in MT.

    Rounding?

Hello, I have a scenario where the code my paintbar is producing a number like so... 0.039996. How do I go about rounding this to 0.04? Of course, if I had a number like 0.0312 I'd want this round down to 0.03. Thank you!
  9. Hello, I have encountered a problem. I really like the Black theme but can't use it with my setup. I use a script to minimize/restore groups of specific charts/windows with hotkeys. This script and the software that it uses needs to be able to identify and grab a particular chart I use so that it can be minimized/restored using the hotkey I've designated for that function. In order to tell the script how to identify this window (this is the only way I can do it for this window) I give it the dimensions of the window in pixels (width X height). Everything works perfectly except when I 'm using the Black theme. I use a tool called Sizer that displays the dimensions of any window so that I can specify what dimensions the script software needs to search for to grab the window. This tool is not able to display the dimensions of the window but only when the Black theme is turned on. Even though I have not changed the size of the window the script cannot detect the window when the Black theme is turned on using the dimensions discovered while using the Dark theme. So is there any way this can be changed so that the window dimensions can be seen by the operating system/other programs when using the Black theme?
  10. Okay, well, is there any way I can setup a custom time period with a hotkey? I tend to use the 2m chart but I like to bounce around. Can I assign a hotkey to quickly move to the 2m timeframe?
  11. Hello, wanted to know if there was any way to do this? I can set the symbol through the API for charts linked through specific colors, which is great, but it would be a lot more useful still if I could specify that the chart be displayed in 2 minute candles, 15 minute candles, etc. via the API. Didn't see any way to do that. If not, I'd like to request this be added. Thanks, and thanks for the updates recently with the Dark theme. It's way easier on my eyes.
  12. Okay, thanks for adding it. Hadn't seen it in the Beta release notes and hadn't updated yet.
  13. I saw the new beta was released. This CPR addition didn't make it then?
  14. Per ehjump, I suppose some would use it as a stand alone indicator but I have not encountered this and it makes little sense to me to use it, as defined above, outside of the context of the traditional Pivot Points indicator. As shown above, CPR should be used only for Pivot Points as Fibonacci pivots, Camarilla pivots, DeMark pivots, etc. are all calculated using their own specialized formulas and even though I don't have experience with those variations of the pivot point system I would expect any CPR used with them to have a different formula as well. Thanks for adding this and for the tip about SetYValue.
  15. Yes, typically I see them referred to that way as the top and bottom central pivots.
  16. No, it's a derivative of the Pivot Point system and it's usually used in conjunction with them. What I would like to see is the option to enable the CPR within the parameters of the Pivot Point indicator already provided in MT preferably with some line options (dashed lines, solid lines, dots, etc. ) and color options.
  17. I'd like to ask that the CPR be added to the pivot point indicator as described and discussed here: https://pivotboss.com/2010/05/31/a-quick-guide-to-the-pivot-range/ calculated like this: TC = (Pivot – BC) + Pivot Pivot = (High + Low + Close)/3 BC = (High + Low)/2 Also, more generally, how can I get a paintbar to display/draw a horizontal line across a chart? Thank you.
  18. Couple of questions... Is it possible to create a paintbar indicator/alert that displays on the 5m chart when the current day's range or the current price moves beyond another indicator's value when that other indicator is on the daily time frame? What I'm interested in doing is using a paintbar on the 5m or 3m or 15m charts, etc... that displays when the current price range for the day has exceeded the ATR on the daily. Or when the price range has exceeded x% of the ATR on the daily. Also, and as another example, would be interested in the ability to produce an alert with a paintbar when the current price moves above/below an EMA on the daily. Another question I had is how to display such a paintbar. Let's say I wanted to highlight in a different color a range on the chart. For example, make all the space on the chart above a particular price red and below a certain price another color. How would I do this?
  19. Have been using the software for quite a while now without any issues and have never seen this before. Tried restarting it and it keeps popping up. Today is the first time. One thing that changed between running the program in the past and today was the Windows update. Here is the full message: Medved Trader encountered an Error Unable to start Streamer H.EVENTS. (3) Req: , Error: Error compiling script for streamer H.EVENTS Please contact Medved Trader technical support and provide the error details AppVer: 1.1.8701.112 Err.Flags: Log, ShowIndicator, ShowToUser Compile Error at (0,0): Error# CS1685: The predefined type 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.ExtensionAttribute' is defined in multiple assemblies in the global alias; using definition from 'c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\mscorlib.dll' Compile Error at (46,308): Error# CS0168: The variable 'ex' is declared but never used Compile Error at (32,355): Error# CS0103: The name 'JObjectParse' does not exist in the current context Compile Error at (48,471): Error# CS1739: The best overload for 'SaveHistEvents' does not have a parameter named 'Merge'
  20. Doh that did it. It was just flagging the error at the beginning at "(Low[2]" so I thought the problem was there. Thanks
  21. Sorry, forgot the actual error description: Pos Code Description 75, 10 CS0019 Operator '&&' cannot be applied to operands of type 'bool' and 'double'
  22. Why does this not work? if ( (Low[2] < EMA_10) && Close[1] >= PP_S1 && Math.Abs(Close-Open) = Min(2,0, Math.Abs(Close-Open)) ) Incidentally, why can't I do something like this: if ( (Close[2].Crosses(EMA_10) && Close[1] >= PP_S1 && Math.Abs(Close-Open) = Min(2,0, Math.Abs(Close-Open)) ) Both fail for me. The idea is to test if the prior candle has a low below the EMA_10 and high above it.
  23. Yes THAT works much better! Never would have thought to switch them around like that. Thanks
