I find the pop-up alerts a bit intrusive (on my limited screen space) and would prefer all alerts to be in the alert log. But stopping the pop-ups seems to have stopped the Alert Log entries as well.

Is there a way to temporarily turn of all voice alerts in the Alerts editor?

I have this alert set on a 1m chart. The alert editor lists it with a red stop icon - and it doesn't seem to be triggering any alerts. How can I get it working?
-
These would be useful. Are they in the pipeline?

Is it ok to use IB and TDA datasources at the same time? I don't normally do this but was trying it today.

On closing the software I was warned there was an open order. How do I find an open order? I tried the various options in the Trade Log but nothing relevant appeared.

hotkey button size - you can add ". [space] . " to make larger, no? or keyboard shortcut.
cannot tie to the buy/sell button at this time.Ok, fair enough. The hotkeys and saved order buttons are great.

for IB it is automatic so if sell with no position will be a short.
offsets - on TRADING / ACCOUNTS / click on the PRICE subtab on the right side. Set it to Always Price Peg and set the offset to 0.01. Now if you double click on Bid, the limit price will be bid - 0.01. If you double click on ask in the portfolio , it will be set to ask+0.01, and the price will be Pegged so as bid/ask change so will the price in the trade ticket.
Specifically for the Buy / Sell buttons on the trade ticket window it seems I can only peg to one particular offset (without involving the portfolio bid/ask). For instance I can set the offset to Ask+2c which is ok for the Buy button but not so useful for the sell button. Or I can set an offset that works ok for the Sell button but then the Buy button is out of commission. I've now got several saved order buttons on the trade ticket and they can do everything I want but they are fairly small and it would be nice to be able to use the larger Buy/Sell buttons. Maybe each button could have an option to link it to a saved hotkey order?

2 unrelated things that I would find useful:
1) being able to pin the trade ticket window so that it stays on top of any other window.
2) having a single panel allowing easy set up of a grid of individual charts (eg 4x4 etc).

I've got a chart nicely set up with saved order buttons. I want to have a separate chart for SPY - and for this I don't want the saved order buttons to appear. How can I remove them? I tried deleting one of the buttons but it removed it from the other chart as well. I had previously saved the chart as default for all ... maybe this was a mistake?
-
Nice. Thanks.
And I've just realized I can put the saved hotkey order buttons on charts etc which will also be very useful.

Yes, it is broker dependent. The buttons were removed when switching from TDA to IB.
Regarding the parameters: the order type and limit price can be set but won't this only be suitable for either a sell or buy - not for both? Eg If I put in Limit with offset fixed to Ask+5c then this is suitable for a buy not for a sell. I am assuming the buy/sell buttons will both use the same order parameters...

I've now only got 2 buttons on my trade ticket (Buy and Sell) - how do I get the other 2 back?
Also, is there a way to edit the parameters for the buttons to fix the order type and offset?
-
Ok, thanks.

Is there any chance of making the IB connection similar to TDA - i.e. without any need to open the IB platform?

Is there a way to set the y-axis scale so that it dynamically follows the action but doesn't zoom in too much? For instance the AMC chart (dynamic setting) now has a Y range of 10c top to bottom. I would prefer a much bigger range. Is there any way to limit the zooming?
-
That did it - thanks.
-
Yes, I had the data. I can access the data by moving the slider to the left until the current time comes into view.
The data is from TDA.

Note that a scan can set multiple results shown in separate columns.
You can create a scan that computes what you want and even name the result column accordingly
Excellent. Thanks for confirming.

It would be nice to be able to sort the portfolio so that stocks with the biggest % gain over a user specified time period appear at the top.
Does the scanner allow this to be done (with the gain displayed in its own column - separate from other scan results)?

you can specify whatever you want for the voice notification - If you can either specify a custom NOTE to replace the main alert, or uncheck "Same as Note" checkbox on the right of the speech selection and then specify whatever note you want, for example:
Spike [SYMBOL]Works great - thanks.
-
In some situations where alerts are frequently triggered the voice notifications can lag behind.
It would be useful to just have two words in the voice notification: the symbol and then some text that I have typed in the scan.
Eg for my spike scan I have "Spike" so if I got a voice notification on AMC I would like something like: "Spike AMC" with no other added words, eg "Alert" or time.
Is this possible?

I've got the problem of portfolio scan alerts not appearing in the Alert Log. The in-build alerts (moving up %, etc) appear ok.
The alerts appear in the portfolio but don't appear in the Alert Log. In the Notifications section Do Not Log is not checked - so I don't see what is preventing the alert from appearing in the Alert Log. There is no filter being applied.
Any ideas what might be preventing the portfolio scan alerts from being logged?

The voice alerts are very useful and I have quite a few in operation. At times I like to minimize the MT desktop and do something else on my computer. Let's say I want to temporarily turn off all voice alerts except one or two. At moment the only way to do this is to turn them off/on individually in the Alert Editor.
It would be nice if there was an easy option to do this.
