you can also configure default position $ size on account level, whilst leaving the QTY setting in your saved order unset - this will ensure the account default is applied. You will then still have the ability to play with the QTY on the order panel prior to entering, should you need to. This is one of the strength of MT imo!

Is it possible to sort the portfolio tickers that are displayed in a Tile View? For example alphabetical, or by time added to portfolio so I can find the last added tickers on top.

Hi I have configured IB Live and Paper accounts in MT. I noticed that the Portfolio will only update the data when IB Gateway for the Paper account is is open and logged in. So I need to run two instances of IB Gateway for live/Paper at all times. How can I change the Portfolio to work with my live account? Thanks and regards,

In Account View, what is the difference between Gain $, Realized PnL (R.PL) and Unrealized PnL (UR.PL) ? Especially Gain $ and UR.PL columns show quite different values at times even though no gain was realized yet. Is premarket action included in some of the values?

I checked my IBKR TWS which does not show the premarket candle on the daily. I have turned off "Show data outside of regular trading hours" on my daily chart. Anyways, we now know that three other platforms provide the ability to print daily candles during market hours only. I hope this is enough to demonstrate that this standard practice in the market.

KBNT - market is now open, the long green candle that printed in PM is now replaced with the regular session candle. Strange.

Interestingly, the chart in your first post labels this candle 5/24 but in the chart in your second post it's labeled 5/25. Mine looks similar to your second post, printing that long green candle on the daily based on premarket action while the market is still closed. There should be no candle just yet as the daily should represent regular market hours action only, exluding PM/AH. I wonder how the candle will look like once the market opens.

Not sure I understand. I do want today's candle to print on the daily (historical chart) during the regular session only, but not outside of the regular session. At the same time I'd like to monitor premarket data on an intraday chart. Is that doable in MT?

Hi On the daily chart, MT begins drawing the current day' candle during the premarket session. I find it to be a bit confusing as the market is not yet open. Can MT be configured to draw this candle during regular market hours only?

In Account View, Transactions tab, when Filter Linked Symbol is active, the Status filter setting is ignored and all transactions statuses will be shown for the linked symbol.

I could, but I am probably influenced by TWS which provides a separate view for closed trades. And another view for open positions. in MT I was trying to reproduce that and configure two Account view windows: One for closed trades/closed positions, the other for open positions.

the account view which I configured shows both open and closed positions. I am trying to configure a view to display closed positions only. whilst there is a checkbox for closed positions, there seems to be no checkbox for open positions - would it perhaps be possible to add that ?

TradeStation (Desktop) supports order activation rules, which work either based on time or based on price. Can I use them from MT? Does MT support order activation rules at all? If yes how can I set them up?
