OK, I see, yes the date on the application folder shortcut is in July.
I checked the shortcut on the desktop and sure enough it has the commandline parameter for the loglevel.
This is handy to know.
Thanks again.

OK, thanks, I see that now, my mistake, redownloaded.
Build 1.0.4838.1102 has a "Market Opens in:" time of the correct figures.
Thanks

OK, yes, the restart for the time issue now shows a log level of "none"...sorry, I missed that before.
The MT application folder only has two files for MT.EXE, with the second being the shortcut...this would execute first. Anyway, I will add the commandline parameter to the shortcut, as that is the most logical solution.
Thanks for your help.

OK, so a new, new version?

y, thats VERY weird. obviously should never have a situation where market opens in 6 days
Question - if you see this, and close and restart MT, does it then show correct values on the status bar? I tried with the settings you just sent me on a machine with the same timezone selected and still was not able to recreate.
Yes, very weird...I installed Build 1.0.4836.2233 but will have to wait until Monday for chart results.
However, the "Market Opens in:" now states "9d 0h 16m 15s" at a "Now" time of "09:43:45"...with the same on restart.

Hi, JM!
I installed Build 1.0.4836.2233 and checked the shortcut before starting MT but no commandline parameters.
However, the log level on MT startup was set for 10.
So, all good, thanks.

Sorry to be a pest but I just noticed something interesting on my system from your list above:
1) Windows Setup Timezone is set for "UTC+10:00 Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney " with auto adjust clock for DST checked
2) Current timeframe is Australian Equities however the "Market opens in:" shows "6d 19h 24m 00s" and "Now:" shows "14:36:00"
Anyway, tomorrow is Saturday so no market, it will have to wait until Monday now.
Cheers
[edit]
BTW data retrieval is still working fine (it would have stopped at 14:30 on QT)
-
OK, that's a good point, mine's Melbourne with daylight savings starting on Sunday at 2:00-3:00AM.
My Commsec source was fine for data retrieval, just that the charts would not update until 11:00AM.
The market open/close times were correct, however.
The current build fixed the charts on my system.
I hope this is useful.

OK, thanks, when you have time.

Build 1.0.4792.1833 rectified that on my system.

Hi, JM!
Thanks, however my shortcut to MT.EXE does not have any parameters. I haven't created a custom shortcut to MT.EXE.
Would you advise what I would put in there, please?

Hi
I am not sure if this is a Bug but this forum section will do for now.
When I start MT currently Version 1.0.4792.1833, the log level is set to none despite it being at 10 when I close MT. For problem solving and build testing, I would prefer it to default to a level of 10 at startup, however it is preferable to have it at the level at which MT shutdown.
Let me know.

Hi
I am not sure of the relevance or importance but since the last update to Version 1.0.4792.1833, when opening a chart and using the hot keys to change the chart frequency (for example from 15 min to 30 min using Ctrl+6 on the numeric keypad), I have noticed that nothing happens.
Once I have clicked focus on to the actual chart instead of the title bar or ribbon, the hot keys affect the chart frequency correctly.
Using the FREQ drop down affects the chart frequency correctly regardless of whether the focus is on the title or chart.
Please advise when you have a moment.

If it helps, mine was the same with earlier builds but I'm now using:
Settings/Charts/General/Extended Hours/During Ext.Hours
...and it's giving me good results.

Mine's only 140MB, if that helps.

Thanks

FYI in case it is useful information, TradingRoom.com.au has real time market indices...I believe this is the link that QT uses for its index data:
http://www.tradingroom.com.au/apps/mkt/index.ac
I know it's not a high priority but I would like to see it implemented at some stage if that's possible, please?
Cheers

That was quick! Thankyou

It's 2:30PM, all good.

Hi
In QT, daylight savings time zone changes were a constant problem, where it would not update charts before 11:00AM and would stop retrieving data at 2:00PM the day after (Monday) the US or AUS changed to or from daylight time (Sunday). I was interested to see how the daylight time zone change on Sunday (20141005) from UTC+10 to UTC+11 would affect MT retrieving data on Monday.
Here are my findings between 10:00AM and 11:00AM on Monday. Although MT is retrieving data, it won't display the data on the charts and the charts only show Friday's data. At 11:00AM, the charts are now updating with the retrieved data back to 10:00AM.
Changing the Settings for the Charts, Timeframes, Time Zone did not make any difference to the charts.
Changing the Settings for the Application, General, Display Time Zone did not make any difference to the charts.
Although possibly not technically a bug, it is worth posting here in the forums for anyone else who notices this anomaly after the change in daylight time zones.CheersNB. I will post an update after 2:00PM on the status of the data retrieval. -
OK, thanks for the update.

OK, sorry, I meant for a hotkey to activate Backfill All in the portfolio window.
