vireya
I am trying: ARCHER:NO ARCHER:OL but neither symbol works I do use ARHVF, but since the stock was bot with kroners, the USA symbol is not good for me. I prefer one of the top two possible?
Jerry Medved
Do you have Yahoo selected as your quote source? I just tried getting quotes on ARCHER.OL and it worked fine.
vireya
can I have BOTH AMTD and Y! at same time? currently was using Y! only for news and AMTD for quotes
Jerry Medved
You can have both for quotes at the same time if they are in different portfolios. AMTD will only work for US symbols so you can create another portfolio for the Norway stocks and use Yahoo for quotes in that portfolio

Jerry Medved
??????? when I hit http://finance.yahoo.com/lookup?s=ARCHER:OL it shows me a symbol
vireya
just FYI Y! does indeed do ARCHER:OL BUT Fidelity (thru which I bot) does not recognize that symbol..it only recognizes ARCHER:NO I THINK, the :OL is the Swedish exchange, while NO is the Oslo exchange
Jerry Medved
Fidelity and Yahoo do not use the same symbol format or exchange suffixes. Basically, you have to first find the symbol that you want on the datafeed you want to use in MT before it can show you the quotes on it.
