MedVal would be much more useful to me if I could track portfolios containing symbols/tickers that are not common stocks.options (e.g. mutual funds) and perhaps have no official symbols (variable annuity portfolios such as Vanguard). I would need to be able to enter the symbol, price paid, etc. but would expect to have a means to update the current price manually and still get the gain calculated, etc. These could be distinguished from ordinary stock tickers by a prefix of some sort, e.g. #MySymbol.
