Saty
The current value of MACD is not displayed for the line, instead displays the value of the Histogram.
Mike Medved
Isn't the histogram's value what the MACD is all about?
Saty
No. In a 12,26,9 setting, the MACD value will be 12-day EMA- 26-day EMA. That is the main line. The second line is the signal line which is the 9-day EMA of the main line. The value of MACD is displayed from the result of (12EMA-26EMA). Those displayed lines are correct, need to show the value. The Histogram is plotting from the result of MACD value - the value of signal line. That is what is displaying now.
Mike Medved
Saty, what I am trying to say is that with MACD, the main thing you look at are signal crossovers - that is, the histogram value... I will try to show all 3. I will try to change it so that the values shown are moved around so they don't overlap.
