Hans
Hi MT is displaying trade fills on the chart, but it seems it isn't storing the fill information. When I revisit my open swing trades the next day, the fills are no longer visible. Can this be fixed somehow?
Jerry Medved
MT does not store the trade data. Showing Trade fills works off your account data. So if your account is set to show current day of data, then previous stuff will not show. Instead of changing your account view to show more days (which can slow things down), I would suggest just creating a Trade Fill Alert. Even if it does not actually show anything or play any sound. then, on the chart instead of showing Trade Fills, set it to show alerts and only the Trade Fill alerts. You can set the alert log to be stored for 5 days for example (on settings) so that should satisfy your requirement.
Hans
Thanks Jerry How do you configure the chart to show trade fill alerts? And how can I change the account to show more than the current day of data? Might want to play around to see what it does.
Jerry Medved
Account View/Transactions - on the toolbar, MAIN tab there is a filter option to show more than 1 day, if supported for your broker. Not all brokers are setup for that. As for showing trade fill alerts, first you would want to setup the Fill Alerts on the Alert Editor. Click on the ADD button dropdown portion and select Fill alerts... On the chart, add "Alert Log" indicator. In the indicator parameters uncheck all except trade fills. Oh, you may also want to set the Alert Log to be stored for more than 1 day on SETTINGS / APPLICATION / GENERAL
