As for the freeze - when you select IMPORT/Restore, MT immediately opens the File Open Dialog box - for some reason on some systems doing that system call takes forever. Usually a reboot will fix. Would be nice to have a basic facility to move my HUMONGOUS portfolios to NT. Appreciate any help with it. Good luck. Jerry Medved Posted December 12, 2014 Report Share Posted December 12, 2014 from what I have read, it may be that when opening the dialog box, it loads all the extensions that you have for Explorer, and in your case, there was some problem. Well, maybe for some reason when you did it via Load Layout it worked, and after that the extensions were OK and the Import thing worked.
