Jerry Medved
There is an issue with TD Ameritrade servers this morning. Will keep you posted. If already logged in, quotes will work, but trades/transactions or new logins will have problems
Jerry Medved
TD Ameritrade server issue is resolved. Should be back up
wwalkowski
I can log in now. Can get quotes, balances and positions. Hope it stays that way!
PaulaGem
OK - I tried to reboot because of this issue and found out my Medved account was messed up too. Still logging in as free account but my checking account was charged on the 9th. I have tired to re-login several times but now am afraid to do it again until I know the issues are resolved. I also need to know the location of the backups on the hard drive so I can copy the last good backup... HELP! Jerry Medved
TD Ameritrade issue is resolved. as for your registration, I saw that you registered today - I do not see any other signup for you. If you got billed on the 9th from us, you would have received an email receipt. Right? can you please forward that so I can see? if there is some duplication, I can take care of that. PaulaGem
Still not logging in with full registration - I changed bank accounts, right now I'm more worried about logging in properly and restoring the backup - will send billing info later. Jerry Medved
Paula, I checked our logs and I show that you are in fact logging in fully registered. What makes you think you are not?
Jerry Medved
ah, I think I see a problem. If you restart, you should be OK and I will clean up the registration stuff.
PaulaGem
But I don't want to restart without the correct backup file in place and I haven't found it.
PaulaGem
OK I found the backup files again - think I can fix this.
Jerry Medved
It would be in Documents / Medved Trader / Backup and the file name would have a date before today.
PaulaGem
The earliest date today has a bigger size, isn't that the one I want?
Jerry Medved
I thought you said that you found it? I saw that you got unregistered earlier today, so I figured the backup before that would be the best, but if you already restored OK, disregard that. PaulaGem
The problem is that I tried to log in several times so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. All seems to be working OK, except that old email for MountainMarketing is showing and I just changed that too, will that screw up anything? Jerry Medved
I see that you requested it, but the change does not take effect until you click the link in the verification email that was sent to your new email address. Once you do that, the new email takes effect on your account. At that point, start MT. If it is set to automatically login (if you save the password), it will update everything automatically. If you did not save the password, then login with the OLD email. MT will take care of changing stuff. . this way all the settings will be saved. PaulaGem
On the issue of TDA servers - are you aware of the Friday (2004?) DNS attack that locked out all TDA users using their platform? That was rehearsed on a DNS server in California a few months prior. I called in and TOLD TDA what the problem is but they refused to send an email to people so they could trade by using the numeric address - Haven't trusted them since then. QuoteTracker had a feature where you could change the server for L2 - I did uses that because it seems like data was being slowed down at times. Is there any way to change TDA servers in Trader? Jerry Medved
No, cannot manually change the server, but MT automatically connects to different IP addresses with TDA, round robin.
PaulaGem
Does forcing a re-login in the sources window change the IP of the server?
Jerry Medved
it most likely would
PaulaGem
OK - been doing that when things get sluggish and it seems to help. Thanks
