  1. Can you add duration(TIF) to the trade window for the conditional orders?  You can see here if you have Duration set in Questrade to DAY for the main order you can still adjust the conditional order to have GTC.

How does it work in Medved? if you set a TIF to DAY  for the main order does it automatically set DAY for the conditional order since there is not box to set the TIF for the conditional piece?

  2. Just wanted to check back in on this one Mike.  It is really causing me issues as I keep forgetting I changed the currency from USD to CDN or CDN to USD and it impacts the cash showing available in the trade tickets. There is no indication if the cash available is CDN or USD in the tickets or any quick way to change back and forth since you have to go to settings, trading account then change back and forth between CDN and USD there.

  3. That will only update that current trade ticket, I just tried.

In my situation I buy and sell the same stock in multiple accounts so I have multiple trade tickets and a chart linked.

When I make a change to one trade ticket it then updates the rest with the same symbol and updates the share count to the related accounts position across all the linked tickets.

However right now since I am getting QTY 1 after medved launches instead of the account QTY, I have to go to at least 1 trade ticket from each group and enter a different symbol press tab then go and reenter the old symbol and press tab then all the linked trade tickets get the original symbol back and they are updated to the QTY of its associated account. I can't just re-enter the current symbol as the ticket ignore me doing that so I have to go to another symbol  then back to the original to get them to update.

So if you could Make F5 force a refresh of the ticket and that cause the linked tickets to also update all I would need to do is click on one of each group of tickets and press F5.  Even just being able to reenter the same symbol into each group isn't too bad (not as good a an F5/refresh) and therefore not have to enter another symbol in between would be ok.

  4. Note, I can see the green share counts in the share count bar on each tickets.  Just tried reloading the layout and it didn't update the qty.

Smaller layout currently, 2 screens, 6 charts, few depth charts, 1 raw data, 25 trade ticket windows.

Could you add F5 to the trade tickets so if pressed it will refresh them using the current symbol? so essentially fake change the symbol away from the current one and back to the original? Then I should be able to refresh one and the rest of the linked one would update at the same time.

  5. After setting the default Qty to 1   I am finding that most trade tickets are always defaulting to 1 instead of the current share price when Medved starts.  As in the pic above I do have use account position checked.  This occurs on Medved startup when all the trade tickets open.  If I change the symbol to something else and then back to the previous one all the defaults set to the account position Qty as they should.

Any way to force refresh all trade tickets manually?

  6. Right click selects it but then the dialog pops up and you have to escape and then press delete.  I did it a few more times just now ensuring the mouse does not move.  As soon as you left click on it the dialog opens (this only occurs on historical chart).

If that dialog didn't come up on the historical, double click to delete drawing would be very useful on both intraday and historical charts.

  7. Seems to be very much related to Medved windows overlapping themselves and Medved not knowing it's already in the correct state.  If I have a second screen with another app overtop of medved you don't see any of the redraws on that screen even though it's occurring on the rest of the screens.

Any way to isolate the redraws to the screen you are working on? Just seems to be so much redrawing all the time.

  8. Screen redraws are occurring much too often and when it is not necessary.

Eg to reproduce one situation this occurs

Two historical charts open on two screens (overlapping other medved windows).

Draw a vertical alert line on one

Draw a vertical alert line on the other

Go back and select the alert line on the first

Dialog box pops up  (this is the key to the redraw for this example)

Once you click yes both historical charts get redrawn on both monitors and when this occurs there is lots of charts flashing below it being redrawn and then the historical charts are back and on top.

It seems like the extra screen draws I keep seeing are adding a lot of overhead for no reason.  I just saw another example, when I minimize the browser window on the screen I am on every monitor where there are any overlapping medved windows I see flashing and screen redraws, even if just one edge of a window overlaps another.  In this case everything behind the browser window and on the other screens was already correct but it got redrawn anyhow.

I'll keep paying attention and see what other things are specifically causing it as I am pretty sure there are other situations. I think Medved is just redrawing all instead of being aware that it's already in the same state it is about to redraw everything in and it does this across all monitors even though nothing changed on the other ones.

  9. Every time I draw a vertical alert line (which I do often to calculate the percentage change in a stock), I go to reselect it so I can press delete to remove it and get the following message about a horizontal line. This occurs on the historical charts.  Anyway to stop this as once I click yes I am left with a regular trend line which I also have to go delete.

As well often the alert line I have drawn for some reason isn't active (on both intraday and historical) so I can't just press delete or I have gone to another chart and clicked there so I have to click back on the line to activate it so I can delete it.

Would be great to have another option to get percentage change:

-a hotkey you could hold to temporarily draw a line that disappears once you release the mouse button

-Vertical alert line only draw temporarily (not sure if others use a vertical alert line for anything)

-double click alert line (or maybe any drawing) deletes the alert line (drawing), this might be the best solution since double click on drawings only maximizes the chart window from what I can see, and there is lots of free space in a chart this can be done on where there are no drawings.
