  1. Thanks Mike. As Mr. Spock would say, "Fascinating" :-). It's great that you caught that. Yes, the way it is currently set up in MT may work for some, but not for me. I need to see the Renko equivalent of what the daily candles are doing in their highs and lows during the days that are missing. This is very apparent in the SPY example when it made a swing high to just over 189 on 5/2, and that entire move is totally missing on the MT chart. So if you could at least offer the option to choose High/Low that would be great.
  2. Yes, that works only because at that point I have selected both SPY and QQQ as the symbols to fill the charts and have unpinned Level II on both. I've been experimenting with trying some new symbols I added to the portfolio list, and here's what I've found, which may be what you are saying - the only way a symbol will behave "normally" (meaning showing its own Level II when I hover and select the menu item), is if I first select it as the chosen portfolio symbol to fill the charts and then unpin its Level II. Once I do that one time, then from that point on it will behave as it should, even after I select a different symbol to chart. So basically the way it appears to me to be working now is after adding a symbol to the portfolio, I would need to select it as the chosen symbol to chart, unpin the Level II, and from that point on it seems it will work OK when I come back to it and do the hover thing. But until it's selected as the chosen symbol to chart at least once it will always only show the Level II of the last symbol chosen to chart.
  3. Hi Jerry, maybe it's operator error, but has me baffled. I agree that I can hover and right click and get a menu, but then clicking on the Level II in that menu doesn't pull up Level II for that symbol. Instead, it pulls up the symbol that's being linked to the charts at that time. Here's the example...hopefully this will explain what I'm seeing -- starting with pushpin on portfolio list being in sync to all charts, select symbol SPY and all charts fill with SPY data. Then go down list and hover on QQQ and menu shows QQQ as you mention. But then when I click on Level II on that menu I get Level II for SPY and not QQQ (same for Raw Data). And it comes up showing the pushpin engaged on this Level II SPY when I haven't set it. It does this whether the actual symbol SPY on the portfolio list has its pushpin set on Level II or not. And the strange thing is some symbols do come up with the proper ones, but they are in the minority. Then to complete the example, if I instead select QQQ as the symbol to fill all the charts, now it becomes the one that shows up as the actual Level II when I hover and click on another symbol's menu. I looked again at QT, and it works as you say, and the way I'm used to... has nothing to do with what symbol is being selected that's linked to charts, and hover menu for any symbol produces Level II for that symbol.
  4. I've noticed that in a portfolio list in MT I can't hover and right click on any symbol to show Level II or Raw Data like I can in QT. In MT doing this only shows whatever symbol is currently filling the charts no matter what symbol I right click on, so I have to actually select the symbol and fill the charts before I can see Level II or Raw Data for that symbol. Is this a setting issue, or maybe something that just hasn't been implemented yet? Thanks.
  5. I've noticed that on a Renko historical chart there are some missing boxes in MT when compared with an identical setup in QT. For example, setting a Renko historical chart with a .25 box size for symbol SPY is missing all the boxes for May 1,2, and 5. They show correctly in QT. Also similarly missing some boxes in April, and have noticed this on other symbols. Historical backfill seems to be working fine, as all days show up on a historical daily candle chart. And all the days and boxes seem to show up fine in MT with an intraday Renko chart. TDA for feed and backfill. MT v.2354. Thanks.
  6. I'm still tweaking the MT platform and have about a half dozen charts that I'll keep minimized most of the time. As in QT these appear in a row above the taskbar, which is fine. What I've noticed is that I never know in what order they are going to show up (from left to right) when I open the app - it's like Russian roulette :-). Is there a way to set them in the order I want as a default so they are always in the same position every time I open the app? Thanks. (Note: this is much more of an issue since the "hover" function doesn't work over these minimized windows in MT like it does in QT telling me which chart it is - you had already told me that was a windows function and nothing you can do about it - I get that).
  7. I've noticed that when I want to delete a number in a cell of a portfolio column (such as quantity), if I just select the cell and hit DEL the entire row is deleted rather than just the number. And it appears that the only way a number can be deleted without deleting the whole row is to not only select the number, but also replace it with a 0. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I much prefer the way it works in QT, which is more like Excel. Thanks.
  8. Got it. Assumed they were unique to MT since they're within the app and don't minimize to the taskbar like typical windows.
  9. I've noticed that unlike QT, I can't get a brief description of a minimized chart window by just hovering the cursor over it. Hopefully this is planned to be implemented in MT at some point, as it makes a big difference in keeping things straight if several charts are minimized. Thanks, Dave
  10. Thanks Jerry, yes it was operator error :-). I didn't even notice that quotes were stopped on that portfolio in question. And good to know on the backfill. No real hurry there since I'm just slowly setting up the platform and playing around in MT, as I won't be migrating from QT until at least the trading and alerts modules are up and running.
  11. I don't know if these are bugs or just settings issues. I just noticed that if I have a few indices as well as stocks shown in a single portfolio list none of them will stream realtime updates automatically. I have to click on an individual symbol to get it to update. I tried adding the subtotal spacer between the two and it behaves the same. But if I create a separate portfolio for indices and another separate portfolio for stocks everything seems to update in realtime fine. And the stocks shown in a watchlist also work fine. Also, as a possible related question, I'm noticing that when I first click on a symbol in either a portfolio or watchlist after opening the app, it usually takes a few seconds to backfill the intraday for a five minute chart. QT is almost simultaneous. And after adding a new symbol the "Chart" column typically won't update the little chart until I click on a symbol for the first time. Build 2221, and I'm using TDA.
  12. Roger that. Wouldn't know if I hadn't asked... it is what it is. Thanks.
  13. This isn't anything major, but it would be nice to be able to change the lateral location of items place in the QAT by drag and drop, not unlike moving stock symbols up and down a list. For example, right now if you want to place a new item in the QAT and want it to be all the way on the left side, you have to remove everything, add it, and then add the other items back in the order that you want them to show. This would just make it a breeze to move them around any way you want, whether adding new ones or changing your mind after having them in place for awhile.
  14. Never mind Jerry, I see that I needed to select the "reset all". Works fine now, thanks.
  15. Thanks, found it on both and selected "set as default" from the default menu, but still nothing. It's not becoming a default setting for other symbols that I bring up Level II or Raw Data on, and if I try with a new symbol I add to the list it shows the L II and RD windows in the original MT default location.
  16. Looks like I'm not understanding... I see a "set as default" on the Level II window, but it has no effect in resetting all the windows to the size and location of that one, and I don't see that choice shown on the Raw Data window. So maybe I need to "reset all", but not finding that option under settings. (?) Thanks.
  17. Build 1.0.2053.2256 I noticed that once I set the size and location (and edited parameters) of the Level II or Raw Data windows for a stock symbol in the portfolio list, they are specific only to that symbol -- instead of becoming a new global setting for all the symbols as they are in QT. Meaning, after setting them the way I want to appear on screen for one symbol, they will always appear in that size and location for that symbol, but when I add a new symbol it shows them in the original MT default size and location. I've tried this with several symbols and I can create a different situation for each one that the app will then remember from that point on for that particualr symbol. Of course that's not what I want, as I need to be able to just set this once the way I want it and forget about it... and have the new symbols I add then show up in Level II and Raw Data in my chosen size and location. Setting and linking still seems to work OK. As once linked, all the symbols that I scroll through show up as the desired size/ location of Level II and Raw Data that I've set for that particuar symbol I start with. I also encountered a bug alert while opening and closing the Level II, and I'll send the log file on to you in an email.
  18. Double AWESOME! Thanks guys! Won't have to use TOS at all anymore... can't get any better than that :-)
  19. Held my breath and checked it out just now during regular market hours -- opened TOS with both QT and MT open, and feed seems to be working fine on all three. Then closed MT and QT and reopened them with TOS open, and still seems like all is working OK. (And TOS did an upgrade before it logged me in, so it's current). Exhale. I'll check it again tomorrow, but maybe it is just an issue with implementing futures trading as you suggested.
  20. Let me make sure I have this straight - I typically just use QT (and now beta MT) via direct login from my desktop, but the next time I need to log into the TDA website (for essentially anything) it will automatically trigger the "upgrade", with the API no longer working for MT? Or is it triggered only if I need to login to QT or MT directly from within the TDA website (which I never do)? Or are you saying I need to go ahead and contact TDA regardless and ask them to do the reverse/ downgrade? Is the TOS issue related? Meaning if I occasionally log into TOS for the TTM Squeeze and Ichimoku Cloud indicators, I can no longer do that at all in the future? Or will contacting TDA to do the downgrade make this issue go away? Thanks
  21. Works for me. Thanks. I'll look for the change in the next release.
  22. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or a settings issue. I've noticed that the charts that I minimize and don't plan to have showing all the time are always back open when I first start the app, instead of remaining minimized as they are in QT. Once the app is running and I "minimize all Medved Trader windows" they stay minimized when I bring everything back up, which is what I would expect. The issue here is that if I have several charts that I want to keep minimized most of the time I'll have to always be minimizing them again one by one every time I start the app. Is there some setting that I'm missing that controls this? Thanks.
