This is good - now charts with shorter periods do not scroll when I perform the trace on longer charts that are hair-pin linked to the shorter charts by default. Thanks a lot. Quick question: how does one access the auto scroll option? When I click the drop-down arrow on the OHLCV I don't see an option for auto scrolling.

    MSROC

Would love to have the MSROC indicator implemented in MT? Thanks a lot.

Yes, that's what I mean - don't want the shorter-period cross-hair linked charts to scroll. That is, the cross hairs on all the cross-hair linked charts can move, but the charts themselves should not scroll because you are moving the cursor around. Put up 2 charts that are cross-hair linked with one of the charts, chart A, having a period (not chart frequency) of 10hrs and chart B having period of 1hr, you'll see chart B scroll as you move the cursor on chart A from right to left. Note: If both charts have the same period you won't notice the scrolling.

Jerry, With the Trace, is there a way to stop the charts of less 'chart periods' from scrolling as one moves the cursor on the chart with a longer chart period like it was in QT? E.g. say you move the cursor on a chart that is 10hrs long from the 10th hr to the 8th hr, a linked chart that is 1hr long will scroll backwards, from say 9am to 7am, and stay there unless you move the cursor back to the 10th hr on the longer chart. This gets inconveniencing when one has more than a couple charts that are linked. If there isn't a way to do this now, maybe you can make "CTRL+SHIFT" (or some other combination) be the unscrolling option? Thanks.
  6. Jerry; Just did exactly what you described above: 1) Internet connection on, start MT and login works fine. Shutdown MT. 2) Shutdown internet connection 3) Double click MT shortcut Icon, type in password, click "login". This time MT login does not work. Do NOT shutdown MT. 4) Reconnect internet 5) MT password was not deleted from step 3) above, click "login" and MT works fine. So I still can't login without an internet connection even though I'm using the same computer.
  7. Emailed the settings file to you.
  8. Sorry for the late response (no internet again.) To respond to your question, without an internet connection I can't get past the login page for MT. When my internet connection resumed I was able to load MT past the login page, but could not without the internet connection - the login page just blinked and nothing else happened after clicking the login button. Yes, with the offline option, MT will not update the chart with new data, but MT should load and show previously accumulated data on the charts.
  9. Hi Jerry/Mike; All of yesterday internet service was down in my area, so could not access MT. Would like to have an offline option for MT, so one can run MT & review charts at least without the need for an internet connection. Thanks.
  10. That is more intuitive. Thanks so much for your patience in trying to understand the situation and then fixing it. It's obvious you are working hard to make MT a first class product.
  11. Jerry; Sorry, the word I should have used is refresh, not reload. The way you explained how to changed the default timeframe for a particular symbol from one of its charts works. One just has to 'refresh' the other charts of the same symbol to observe the change on them. The way I refresh the charts is to swap the symbol for an unrelated symbol, then swap back to the symbol and it show the new default timeframe on all of its other charts. I think the reason why I'm not conveying my message well is the fact that "timeframe" in MT means a setting for exchange trading hours and the "other" charts of the symbol are of several different time frames as in 5m, 60m, etc. So, I'm trying not to use different meanings for the word. Let me try to explain again: Say, for example, on the 5m chart for @UBZ14, I change the default "timeframe" setting to eCBOT from US Equity. The "timeframe" setting on the 60m & 15m charts for @UBZ14 still remains as US Equity until I "refresh" @UBZ14. The way I refresh is as follows: - Since I have linked the 60m,15m and 5m charts for @UBZ14 with the green pin, I use the green pin to click on a different symbol, say @CLZ14, then click back on @UBZ14 - Now, @UBZ14 is refreshed and its 60m and 15m charts now show eCBOT as the new default timeframe Hope this better explains my post above (at 6:40pm)
  12. Jerry I emailed you the settings file. You'll notice that when you change the timeframe of the 5 min chart of either the green-linked, or the blue-linked, charts the timeframe only changes for the 5min chart (view the timeframe on the 60min chart and it is still the prior timeframe). When you then change the symbol associated with the green-linked charts, and then revert back to UBZ14, the UBZ14 charts now have the new default timeframe - this is what I mean by "reloading the chart." Note: There was an error that's not associated with this issue in a Word document also attached to the email.
  13. Thanks, Jerry for your quick response. It worked with a little catch - I had to reload the symbol to the charts for it to now show the new timeframe for the other charts (other than the chart from which I performed the timeframe selection). Good enough for me though.
  14. Hello Jerry; How does one set the timeframe for a given instrument globally without having to go to each chart of the instrument? E.g. I have multiple charts for @UBZ14 open and they are all set to the "US Equity Mkts" timeframe by default. In other to change the timeframe to eCBOT, I have to go to every chart for UBZ14 and change the timeframe individually. Whereas, in QT, if I changed the timeframe in one chart, all the other charts for UBZ14 would change to this timeframe. Would like to change the timeframe like in QT, anyway to do this? Thanks in advance.
  15. Jerry; I have sent you the settings & log files. Thanks for looking into this.
  16. There's only one feed shown on the dashboard - it shows "IB, Streaming, Running, 1,507, 27" under the "ID, State, Status, Bwd, L I" headings. I have tried closing & reopening the charts but no luck. Still not updating, even after changing the "extended hrs" setting. What is confusing is NYMEX charts are okay when the chart freq is set to less than 60min (even 59min), but at 60min and higher, there is no new candle after the 5pm candle of Aug. 7th.
  17. Hi Jerry, Data on the hourly & higher intraday timeframe charts are not updating for @CLU14 & other NYMEX instruments. While the lower timeframes, like 5min chart, are current with realtime data (the historical charts are okay too). This has been the case since the start of electronic trading at 6pm New York time on Aug 7th. Note also, the data for ICE Europe (former IPE) for all timeframes stopped at 6pm New York time & did not resume at the start of trading at 8pm. Not sure if this has anything to do with the latest IB TWS upgrade, as QT became unstable after the upgrade to TWS version 946.2h. I'm using MT version 1.0.4097.1607 and TWS version 946.2h
  18. Jerry; Please can you send me the beta. Thanks in advance, and thanks for the good work.
