Top of the day, and here I come with -Improving the Wheel- ;-)

 

Upon opening trade ticket of a Symbol me thinks (2) things could be done please?

 

a) Self Populate QTY (if exists already ie...my present holdings)

 

Land Cursor there as well "highlighted- ready to change if want-needed, hence being able to not have to "mickey mouse around" or using the Tab Key 3 times to gain focus to QTY ?

A) MT already does either defaulting of the QTY based on user criteria, or set it to either QTY in Portfolio OR QTY in the actual positions of your account.  Those settings are configured PER ACCOUNT.  Go to FILE / SETTINGS / TRADING / ACCOUNTS.  Select the account you want, then on the right click on Quantity tab and configure the rules for defaulting the quantity and check the boxes if you want MT to use the quantity in the portfolio or positions./

focus is problematic because things are so asynchronous.  If ticket is already up, focus is left where it was previously
