mnewton
Add api call to backfill hist in portfolio api call to do an MT close() rather than use taskkill
Jerry Medved
the HTTP API currently available is just for backward compatibility. We will be doing a clean API later. As for closing MT, why do you need to task kill?
mnewton
I have a background job that checks if MT and my scanner are running and are working correctly as in not frozen. Used to happen a lot with QT. If they are frozen kills both and restarts. I never like killing a process would always prefer orderly shutdown alt+F4 Things tend to get corrupted with a kill. Jerry Medved
OK I see. the thing is, it would be a solution to a problem that does not exist. it would be much harder to see if MT is frozen simply because if something does freeze, it would usually be one window at most. I added a CloseApp command, but don't think it ill be of significant use.
mnewton
Jerry Thanks Its really if the api hangs or my scanner I just restart both. My win 10 explorer still hangs occasionally now when he browser is opened from another app.and I have to restart explorer to get it to clean up. I assume http://127.0.0.1:16239/req?CloseApp
