not happening here. Define "Crashes".  If it gets some error, send it to us

Seems to happen when its a subprocess of explorer.

Running as its own process should help

don't know what you mean. what is a sub-process of explorer?

Fromm boot stating MT it gets listed in 

process explorer as a subset of Explorer

after a few hours MT seems to glue up with this setup.

If I restart explorer the MT is shown 'unlinked' to explorer

will see if it has the same problems later.

Not sure how exactly you are starting stuff, but MT should definitely not be started as a subset of explorer.

ok I am totally confused.  You said from boot starting... then you say starting from desktop. Which is it. What exactly are the different ways you are starting MT? and where exactly are you seeing anything about it being linked to Explorer?
