Mike Medved
Ok there is a bug in the code about the scanner. Change the code to have if ((Close == SymbolData.Low && CurrentState.IsNewLow) || Close<CurrentState.PrevLow) and it will be shown as a scan. Mike Medved
As for your last one - I really cannot advise on the fine points of the scanning conditions/techniques I can only make sure that you can put in whatever conditions you want. CryptoDips
ok i figured it out now, because its not a var i can add from selection
Mike Medved
No - to find all those you either type SymbolData. <-- note the period - and look at the autocomplete. Or look in the simple scan editor's combo box.
CryptoDips
Hello, How will i make a scan that will look if: SymbolData.Volume > 100000 && MFI_line < 20 && (MACD_histogram changes from < 0 to > 0)
Mike Medved
1. Make a Simple paintbar 2. Make 3 rules in it. Â First one is SymbolData.Volume<=100000Â Â and the action would have "And Stop" Second is MFI<20Â Â - again, "And Stop" Third one MACD Hist crosses up 0 - put the SetScanResult in there. CryptoDips
(MACD_histogram changes from < 0 to > 0) meaning i want the scanner to shoe symbols when macd hashes change from red to green only
CryptoDips
Hello, I have noticed the indicator numbers on binance vs. Medved trader are off buy about 10 I am using EMA14 and EMA34 Volume - lower in binance Macd (12,26,9) - MFI (14,1) - lower in binance
Mike Medved
Â Â I wouldn't trust any indicators in Binance. They are pretty good at running an exchange, but probably not at doing charting/indicators.
CryptoDips
Hello, Is there a way to scan if a symbol is going up meaning up 5 or so % from the previous %, or percent change in a certain period? Â
Mike Medved
You'd have to use Advanced Mode for this. Let's say you want to check an hour on a 1-min chart - you'd compare Close to Close[60]. Something like  if (Close>=Close[60]*1.05)
CryptoDips
ok thanks but, why did you put 1.05??? Sorry, i see 1.05 is the % change... so if i wanted the 5min chart it would beif (Close>=Close[300]*1.05) or if i wanted to see if a symbol changes from 1 close candle to the open of another: if (Close>=Open[300]*1.05) is there anyway to scan if the next candle is green or red???  Edited January 8, 2018 by CryptoDips
CryptoDips
Hello, What does the CHG% represent is it the 24hr or what time frame does this represent???
Mike Medved
MT always works with "Sessions" - for example, for US stocks it is 9:30am to 4pm Eastern time. Crypto markets work 24/7 and for some bizarre reason are addicted to showing both volume and change as a rolling 24-hour measure. We changed that in MT and try to report to the best of our ability the volume and change for the "Session" that goes from UTC0 to UTC0. CryptoDips
ok so if I wanted to only get the symbols with 5%Â > change% && MFI < 20.00. How would I code that???
CryptoDips
Hello, Is there anyone here... none of the questions are being answered???? 1. How do I get the top gainers from Binance list to be the same on Medved... 2. I wanted to only get the symbols with 5% > change% && MFI < 20.00. How would I code that??? Mike Medved
The Change Percent and MFI: Top gainers? We don't access that. Just make a portfolio that has those symbols?
CryptoDips
hmm ok thanks...
L W
You might also check out the SymbolData.DayRangePercent. That might give you the change for 24hrs.
CryptoDips
great thanks, that may work better because change percent is the current change from 1 candle progression correct?
CryptoDips
ok so when I added thisSymbolData.DayRangePercent > 10 it didnt scan symbols that are up 10% in 24hrs What happened?
Mike Medved
MT does not do "24 hrs" change. It does change from 0 UTC.
