Kind of like 12:am. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coordinated_Universal_Time This will tell you the current UTC time. https://time.is/UTC I live on the east coast of USA (stock market time also) and UTC time is 5 hours ahead of us. Well sure - you can set it on a chart (that would be in a paintbar) or on a portfolio (that would be a scan).

This can be done in the Paintbar editor by adding Some info can be found here. https://www.medvedtrader.com/trader/WebHelp/index.html?advanced___paintbar_alerts.htm Also see my post here on adding a scan alert if the scan has the alert set. CryptoDips
lol yes i know how to do a scan alert, but i need to know how to do a alert for an individual symbol after it has been scanned...
L W
Open the symbol on a chart and add the paintbar to the chart. You'll find the paintbar under Add/Edit indicators.
CryptoDips
I was wondering also is there a way to scan if the candle is green or red???
CryptoDips
I am also trying to figure out why are some of the charts indicators like RSI and MFI so different from MT and tradingview???
Mike Medved
MFI - I fixed it - but for now just turn off "Use Williams' Smoothing" on it. Candles are green if Open<Close. Red if Open>Close.
CryptoDips
yes I have already unchecked "Use Williams' Smoothing"...

CryptoDips
But if I change the candles to HA, how can I scan for red and green then???
L W
I've never used HA, but I guess you could take out the red or the green candle check in the MainCalculation and see if that would still work for you. Not sure beyond that.
CryptoDips
well, i need to check for the red to green candles for HA, that's my entry point...
Mike Medved
We will add an "HA" toggle button next to the "Intraday" and "Historical" buttons on the Scanner tab. That way your scan will work on HA candles.

CryptoDips
Is there a way to show percentage on the charts also to know the percentage from 1 candle to the other???
CryptoDips
that's one of the reasons I like trading view because of its ability for me to measure percentages, profit loss, and I get alerts on my phone also... These are very helpful indeed... But they dont have 5min scanner yet. Which MT does. Edited January 16, 2018 by CryptoDips

As you're drawing a line on the chart, it shows you (on the axes) the change %, absolute change, etc. You can then delete the line by pressing Del. CryptoDips
hmm, is there a way you can add something that stays up while in a position. so as more candles are made it will show as you roll over the candles... I do a lot of scalping so I'm only trying to get 3-5% or so in a trade. so let's say I draw my buyin line in green, and I want to know when the symbol hits a certain % then I can be aware...
