Pete
I see a little "D" next to a stock symbol in MT and hovering over it it says "Delayed Quotes" What causes this? Other stocks in the same portfolio don't have this symbol and I'm using IBKR as the data source.
Jerry Medved
permissions for quotes for that account. Maybe your account not enabled for real-time NYSE quotes? what source?
Pete
Source is interactive brokers, definitely have real-time quotes. I am getting real-time quotes in IB's TWS for PDO at the same time that MT displays Delayed. Which tickers show up as delayed varies as well, now it is PAXS and WDI, not PDO (see screenshot below). Could this mean I have exceeded my quote limits at IB?
Pete
More information that may be related, I have another portfolio that is using delayed data (Yahoo Finance) as the source that also includes these same CEF symbols - could that be causing some sort of interference with the portfolio shown in the earlier screenshots that uses IB as the data source? The reason this second portfolio uses delayed quotes is because I only use it for end-of-day quotes on closed end fund NAV values and for some reason Yahoo has these values (CEF NAV) where IB does not
Jerry Medved
y, that is why. You do not want to have the same symbols getting data from 2 sources at the same time.
Pete
Ok, thanks....I'll nuke the delayed portfolio, its not that important anyway
Jerry Medved
Just close it and open after market (or stop quotes and start them after market)
