How do you calculate TimeValue without a Intrinsic value, which is difference of Stock Price and Strike price? So you must be using Stock price somehow for TimeValue column.

I can use scanresult for custom columns as long as data is available. For an option symbol row, can I access data for it's underlying? Something like. SymbolData.Underlying.*

Hello, Thanks for adding the column, can you please compare the calculation with my spreadsheet below? I think I made error on formula above, see if this is correct in spreadsheet for TV% I think extrinsic value cannot be negative. Are mid prices being used or last? I assumed mid prices below.

I think it will be better to have annualized Time Value %. 365/ D.to.Ex * Time Value.

To be honest, I only look at Delta and Theta for greeks. I have the following columns for option chain in MT. Symbol Last Midpoint Spread Spr% Time Value Volume Volatility Change Chg% D.to.Ex Delta In/Out Opn Int Strike Pr Theta Time

Thank you, I can manage the totals in spreadsheet for now. I am trying to import a filtered list of options (~500 ) in to MT and scan for basic price values, volatility and option greeks. There are some data points already available, may be if you have time, you can add more option symbols data for scanning.

Portfolio in screenshot was from Yahoo feed, but it was behaving same for DXfeed. After switching data feed couple times, it seems to be fixed now. Thank you.

Hello, Can you please see why is SPY calculated differently (as 100 share lot) than other symbols? Also, can you please calculate sub total and totals for Time Value column too? Can I request to add a column that calculates option's Time value % of current underlying price? T.V * 100 /Price

I agree, this will be nice feature addition to MT. A relatively filtered list of symbols from IB scan to MT to process further scans.

Maybe IQ Edge is not the issue, I did get prompted to login after a while despite only MT using their datafeed. Thought I could help with testing.

I don't normally use Questrade for data in MT but I switched one portfolio to Questrade for testing and it does prompt me for login every few minutes. No login prompts if I stop using their data. I got prompted on IQEdge software which was running at the same time with same data account, after shutting down IQEdge, I stopped getting login issues. See if your setup is similar.

IB comes with 100 symbol limit per account by default. I have two IB accounts, each with 100 symbols. How can I combine the two to get 200 symbols in MT? I use DXfeed for stock and would like to fetch option quotes from IB. MT prompts error after reaching 100 symbols for IB. Thank you.

Hi Jerry, No problem, the charts that you mentioned have been there for long time. The high memory utilization issue started since 2-3 months ago. I went through log and thought Webull data feed was causing issue, I turned off Webull news then data for all symbols and switched to Yahoo for historical and DXfeed for intraday data. Problem still persist. Please note that this issue occurs even when all MT windows are minimized. I thought charts graphic are not processed when window is minimized. Following error is from yesterday and memory use spiked again this morning and crashed I was not using MT, just minimized. I sent you log for today just now.

I do have 10 paintbars on this layout, no scans, MT is excluded. The issue is recent and intermittent, it happened twice this month. Would hiding all indicators on a chart help with conserving resources?

Hi, I keep MT minimized when not using, I notice it starts to use a lot of resources and MT app hangs.

Randomly stops working completely or data feed appears to be stalling intermittently. Can't be sure if what I am looking at is correct data.

Can you suppress candle height outside of n% of price range in current chart view? A suppressed height candle can have a different colour and cap icon indicating it has price spike. Perhaps, even an info bubble on hover that shows vol@price outside of defined limit. For example, a chart's view has High price $25 and Low price $23 that gives it a Range of $2. If user defined spike tolerance is 25%, any candle ranging more than $0.50 is height capped and assigned a user defined colour. Exceptions may need to be made at few minutes +/- session open/close to accommodate for high volume and volatility.

Thank you Mike for the fix. I had turned up to 120 days to test new CPU and data feed. Faster CPU improved performance enough for to me forget about the setting. I don't need that much data all the time. But once in a while for a single symbol, I go back longer period.

I sent you the settings. I mostly change symbol by clicking on linked watchlist, but behaviour is same if I type symbol.

Hi, Thanks for update. I installed 307. Bead prices now show on all charts of same symbol with trading enabled. But changing symbol on chart still clears them permanently. I have both checkboxes on for trade beads under Trading/General. Is Save between session refer to Chart session or trading day session?

Yes, I have the link for download, otherwise whatever MT suggests is latest beta available to install. I was using 9485.300, I just updated to 9485.305. TIF issue is fixed. Thank you. Beads price editor is now working as well. Beads are still forgotten when symbol is changed and changed back.

Level 2 stalled this morning on primary computer but worked ok on secondary computer. Stop/start feed didn't fix the issue, but restarting app triggered data again. Another thing I remember is that my primary computer is a new machine I purchased a month ago and imported all settings/data from an older machine. Could this be a reason? How can I mitigate the problem, how can I delete all quote data and start from scratch?

Hi Mike, No, beads are not remembered when switch out then back to same symbol. You can flush them by time or if price has moved significantly by n%. Thanks
