Getting the API Authorization request screens every few days ?

I would suggest folks get on Schwabs case Re: this news thing. Which is a big deal .
Ask them why they think degrading the service Ameritrade had offered is acceptable.

For reference, the Dashboard opens up immediately.
Looks to me like loading of the alerts is taking up more time than it should .
If I rename the Alerts XML temporarily to test this , will it break anything ? I wouldn't think so but just making sure.

I was given that email as a contact by the agent I spoke to in tech support. Typical run around, though the reply seemed to indicate they knew exactly what I was asking ask they said NO. If they thought the question should have been kicked to another dept, they would have said so, presumably.
They did have an extended period of time to test the new api, and they do have a tremendous amount of support staff. When you or I have to produce and debug working code, it doesn't take a year.

The reply I got was curt and unpromising.
Clearly the best interests of traders is not a priority at Charlies, as evidenced by this and a broken level 2 when they had years to prepare.
I know the api is free, but still.

TOS news leave a lot to be desired. Pitiful actually.
I already emailed traderapi@schwab.com and complained about them shutting off the news feed.

I just sent the logs using the built in support , thought I could select alerts only there . guess not .
If you need them send separately , let me know

I know you have bigger fish to fry, but this is a long standing issue, that maybe you can look into .
I have quite a few alerts , maybe 125 , some active , some not.
It takes at least 4 seconds for the editor to show after being invoked.
Most other operations in MT much faster.
Even loading it , closing, and reloading it immediately is slow.
Feels like something isn't optimized.

The TOS news feed is the same , with limited scrollback (ridiculous) and even more ridiculous, NO SYMBOLS on the headlines ,and no alert system for keywords

lol, if they dont have current day data, where is the backfill data coming from . does this make sense to you ?

I realize TOS is a different feed. What I dont get is, why BACKFILL in MT works the next day but live doesnt.

They have the adv /decl indexes but not the combined for some nutty reason
The $add is still good on TOS
I tried doing a two symbol X-Y thing, which seems to work for stocks , but oddly , does not produce the CURRENT day, only previous days ( backfill)
That two symb subtraction does not work at all for $index's

Wow. Thats very bad news. How come this is the first we hearing of it , doesn't anyone trade off news ?
I don't know what their reasoning is, its very low bandwidth compared to quotes.
Another nail in the coffin .
TOS news is fine. Why dont they just push that feed , and do away with the ridiculous 'subscription to symbols' policy.
PS Yesterday $ADD seemed to work and today its dead.

Yes, the login faults, and warns after two tries that it wont try again to avoid getting locked out.
There is nothing on the internal MT login to accommodate the 2fa code.
Whats causing the Etrade login screen to appear ? (that screen has the 2fa field) I thought that if it stayed on screen long enough to be used, you might be passing the auth back to MT . Since it flashes and vanishes, no way for me to tell if thats what you intended

The internal Medved login does not have a 2fa field , so that wont work. If does fail using only user/pass. I have to use 2fa logging into Etrade
So theres a flash of the the Etrade site login page that appears, but as I said, that closes on its own instantly.

Is Etrade supposed to be working with the two factor auth ?
What I get is, a browser window opens and immediately closes on its own , so no login can entered

sorry about that , realized this needed the new codebase update as well. A restart was only the partial fix.
